Joker- ENTX
discuss!
Depends somewhat on which version of these characters you use...
Anyway, the Joker seems to have the ability to change his personality at will though whether this is on a superficial level or whether his memories and whatnot actually change I'm not sure. I'm of the opinion that he's a very clever INTJ pretending to be insane (for various reasons, intimidation, so that people wont be able to figure out his plan, to avoid the death penalty.) His plans are actually very well thought out even if he doesn't have the normal motives which leads me to put him as a J. He seems extroverted on the surface, but lets face it, he's never shown his true face. His sort of charisma is of the INTJ variant not of the sociopath strain (If he were really a sociopath it wouldn't be so obvious). He may seem chaotic but he has immense self-discipline, very Ni.
Batman- I hate to put both of them as my own type, but again, look at Batman Begins. some of the psychological stuff (using the bat, becoming your fear) is very Ni. Batman... is not an SJ. He sees that the rules are useful, but for himself he only has one rule which makes him seem more NJ. and his solitary nature and the playboy mask he always wears as bruce wane makes him seem like an extreme introvert, and well, IT's tend to be more introverted than IFs. Besides, the way he cracks the Joker's plans, and uses his brain as his most important weapon (except when dealing with the lesser criminals) makes him seem NT. Also, the Joker is sort of a dark reflection of batman, a representation of what batman would be like if he were to let his darkside consume him, so it makes sense that they would be the same type.

The Joker is soooo ENTP! Come on.
Batman, maybe ISTJ? I'm going by the Christian Bale interpretation.
The Joker is an ESFP ..
Batman ISTJ
neither strikes me as very intuitive..
Its just chaos and order
performance VS duty
An ISTJ wouldn't dress up like a bat and go out in public even if it served a purpose. XD
The Joker is definintely not F. We can tell that he's NT by the decisions that he makes. As for the rest of his letters, he's very good at hiding what goes on inside his head. I could see him as an INTJ or an ENTP (though I doubt he's any of the other NTs as he seems very intuition dominant).
google search this. I've seen the joker put as virtually every type. No one can figure him out... still, that sort of complexity itself points toward INTJ.
He is totally an F. subjective value judgments.. Are you saying the Joker is objective?
He is in it for himself.. His values over everyone else, and yet he cares what others think. wants people to appreciate his art. He is also a chameleon and performer .. an ESFP
You want a superhero/villain INTJ? try DR Manhatten .. He is a Prototypical INTJ.. now compare him to the Joker.. it doesn't even come close.
Of course this is just my opinion and you can have yours and we need not get all bent out of shape.
Plus your ISTJ and bat costume comment made me laugh![]()
So you're saying the Joker has values? The Joker's values are whatever immediately serve the purpose he's trying to accomplish which means he can change them at will becuase they are controlled by Te. The Joker believes life has no meaning, and nothing has meaning when examined only logically. Purely Logically a person is no better off dead than alive, so the Joker can do whatever he likes and never feel regret because life is only a game.
and, yes Dr Manhatten is the prototypical INTJ (or really he is an exaggeration of the INTJ personality)... but don't try and stereotype the joker, he's anything but sterotypical. There are more than 16 types of people in the world, for someone as complex as the joker it is best to use functional analysis. This is a person who can be anyone he likes, and how he does that is through Ni... Ni and Se while completely different in how they work can seem very similar on the surface. Both can appear outwardly explosive (see the avatar thread about prince zuko) and both can be used to change the way a person presents themself, to show Charisma, but The difference is the Ni user actually changes their mind and suspends their own belief becoming the character they are acting as while the Se user is quick-witted and more external-minded so as to make adjustments while they lie.
Batman - ISTP silent but deadly
Joker - ENTP epic crazy

batman- INTJ
joker- ENTP
think about it..... they are a perfect match xD. Besides I think batman must see the big picture in order to be an effective super hero. The S and N factor is kind of hard to decide. The vibe I get from him is intuitive though...... I love batman..... I've never liked ISTJs .... I don't know any accept for the true stereotypical masculine men and the weird potheads at my school. The INTJ's tend to have a more level headedness about them. I don't think the battle between the joker and batman would last so long without them having the intuitive connection. There is a reason why joker is batmans enemy. They mirror each other. A similar way to describe it is when INTJ's and ENTP's debate/fight..... they kind of like it. Batman and joker do not neccesarily "like" going at it......but part of you wonders if they do. The joker gives batman meaning and vice versa. I don't think the tension between them would make sense if batman wasn't intuitive as well..... i can see it sorta with the istj...i dunno. Batman just seems deeper....

I'm sorry.... and this is gonna sound really big headed and arrogant and douchebaggish .....i apologize...... but recently.... i've run into so many people that just suck at typing people. I'm not gonna point fingers. But goodness.
