    Pitch Perfect

So, I don't know about you guys, but Pitch Perfect is one of the most stereotypical movies I have seen....and I love that about it. But, since it is so stereotypical, I think it is a good place to look for exaggerated examples of MBTI types. Anyway, here's what I have so far:

    Beca: ENFP
    Aubrey: ESFJ
    Chloe: ESFP
    Fat Amy: ENTP
    Jesse: ENTP
    Bumper: ESTP
    Benji: INTP?

Any other strong MBTI characters I'm missing? And does anyone happen to disagree?

    Just saw this yesterday.

Becca seems hardcore INFP; she really isn't that interested in socializing at the core. She screams Fi-dom, and has quite a lot of ideals. Her ideals lead her, not the desire to be social.

Aubery is an annoyingly ESFJ ESFJ. Like to the tee.

    Chloe: ESFP yeap.

Fat Amy: ENFP; more feeling oriented. I don't get much 'T' from these girls.

Jesse: ENTP; I could go with that. He has a whimsical charm and seems extroverted. I could also see ENFP.

    Benji: INTP seems accurate...

Bumper: Token-ESTP kinda like stiffler from American Pie.

@FlightsOfFancy, thanks for responding! I didn't know how many people would actually be interested in discussing this

The thing about Beca, is that when they go through rough times, such as their parents divorcing, ENFP's can act very INFP-ish. They retreat into their shells, and shut people off. Beca is an example of a damaged ENFP.

By the way, I would also call Luke (the station manager) ESTP. He and Bumper are pretty similar, except Luke is ACTUALLY physically fit.

We really don't get to see much of Luke, but I don't think an ES would be that comfortable in seclusion for that long? Again, we don't see enough of him.

Becca as an ENFP sounds right when you take those facts into consideration.

Fat Amy, upon second watch, seems like a Ne/Fe user, but has blips of Ti 'harshness' "So I get in before you twig bitches say it behind my back"--obvious trolling ENTP. "Lesbi honest". She also has no problem calling the guys when shit breaks down; I'd imagine Fi would keep someone from doing that.

Honestly, they are so stereotyped that it's easy type them lol. Aubery might as well be the token ESFJ with SJ ablaze.

On a serious note, how much of post-processing went into their voices? Like Rebel Wilson didn't sound HORRIBLE but she admits to not being a singer. Bumper's actor also doesn't sing so he claims. It all sounds too 'pitch perfect'; I wonder if some undetectable autotune was at works? (it is surprisingly undetectable if the delay is set properly).

Skylar Astin and Ester Dean pretty much mopped the floor with the lot of them vocally either way. The only peculiar thing is that Astin's voice becomes a lot brigther and higher than his natural talking voice. I kind of have the same happen (I have a deep voice but am a low tenor), but in his videos online, I seldom hear him singing outside of baritone range.

@FlightsOfFancy I don't think I've heard anyone in that movie sing, except Brittany Snow.

*sigh* You would post this thread. I'm actually only responding to say that you're right, damaged ENFPs definitely can come across as INFPs. Also from what I saw of the trailer, you're probably right.

The whole projectile vomiting thing is the only reason I don't want to see this movie. Ew.

Any guesses on the types of the relatively minor characters? Cynthia Rose, Stacy, Donald, etc?

why is becca an N? she's most likely ISFP

Becca didn't seem like a feeler to me at all! I thought she was INTP. She doesn't seem at all Fi dominant to me, or Ne; she's definitely not xNFP!

Um, Beca is TOTALLY a feeler. Everything she does is emotionally or morally motivated. And I mean EVERYTHING. And I just now thought of an example of her being an E, even early on in the movie. It's when she legitimately tries to reach out to Kimmy Jin (ISFJ?). She really tries to be friends with her (stereotypically racist) roommate. I don't think an introvert would try to reach out that soon after meeting someone.
