    Clothing obsessions and your personality

I'm not obsessed with clothing trends or fashion, but I'll exaggerate.
    I'll say they're strong likes

    I'm obsessed with:

    1. Sunglasses
    2. Hoodies
    3. Black stuff
    4. Running shoes still with a good step in them so my ankle stays upright
    5. No-show socks

    6. Well suited eye glasses

Items 1-3 show that I'm reclusive and private, and items 4-5 show that I"m vain and healthy
I'm not sure about 6, but I LOVE my glasses (whenever I wear them).

    How about you?

I like to shop when I'm bored, but wear somewhat conservative, comfy clothes. I get girlier the older I am and depending on where I work, but I'm pretty low-maintenance. Especially when it comes to shoes, bags and jewelry--I typically wear the same few all the time. I do like quality clothes (not concerned with name brands), though, but I think that has more to do with a good and comfortable fit, and long lasting material.

Compared to many of my female friends, I have no clue who/what they are talking about when they discuss high-end fashion and name brands. I only recently learned about Jimmy Choo and couldn't spot a Dolce & Gabana bag out of a line-up.

I've never heard of any of those brands. I do all of my clothes shopping at thrift stores and garage sales because the clothes I like are not currently considered fashionable. My favorite brand is Starina. I didn't intentionally seek out that brand, but found that most of my favorite dresses that I have acquired from various sources turn out to be Starina dresses. I don't have photos of any of mine online yet, but I found some pictures of other Starina dresses I don't own. I don't think any of the ones pictured are my size unless they are just tied really tightly in back to fit the mannequins.

I have one in a similar pattern, but in rayon instead of lace, and in a slightly different style.

This is like a hybrid of two of two of my dresses, but isn't exactly like either.

I have one in this style, only mine is light pink with roses, for a more romantic look.

I insist on wearing classic, mostly plain clothing. Very INTJ of me, I suppose.

    I wear uniforms...

I pretty much buy the same style of something I like, but in different colors. For instance, I eyeballed a really cute black wrap dress recently. When I realized they also had the same dress in purple and blue I bought those as well. I've done the same thing with a shirt dress (I have it in 3 colors), skirts and shirts and tees. I like the comfort in having a uniform because I don't have to worry about making too many strange fashion choices and having people ask me why I chose to wear what I was wearing.Honestly I HATE that.As long as everything is clean, hygienic and overall modesty is kept, why question what someone is wearing?

Red is my favorite color so I try to wear it everyday. I love dresses (wrap, sheath cocktail) only when they are above the knee. I like dresses because I don't have to worry about matching a top and a bottom and because I look nice in them . I like solid colors and BRIGHT colors but I've learned to not wear that red shirt with the pink skirt and purple shoes if I'm wearing black then I MUST have an accessory with color
Oh I leave sweats and sneakers for the gym and working out.

My shoe choices range from stilettos to knee high boots to flip flops.

It must be soft. Nothing else will do. Fleece, flannel, 100 times washed cotton. It must be baggy. Nothing tight. I am absolutely obsessed that there not be one itchy thing, within 100 miles of me. Black is very very good. Not all the time - but if I wear black to work, I feel good. The color grounds me. Calms me.

    I collect hoodies.

For workout gear I'm partial to Nike Pro shirts (cheaper than UnderArmour and I like the colors better) and Nike Frees (I did order a custom-made pair in red once, but they're expensive so I usually go with the default black color that they sell in stores). I like the shirts because they're form-fitting, comfortable, and wick away sweat. So I guess I do like to stand out, but at the same time place a higher value on function.

As far as regular clothes go, I don't shop much (partly because I'm cheap, and partly because shopping is not something your typical "guy" does). I prefer looser-fitting clothes because they're more comfortable, plus I think guys wearing tights shirts in public look like douchebags.

Shorts, t-shirt and running shoes. I will wear hoodies in the winter. You will see me wearing a combination of the four even in the winter when it's cold and snowing out. Loose and comfortable all the way for me.
