    The stone heart.

When a stone heart has a room carved out for you... I suspect that space is yours longer than one made out of mushier material.

    I hear you.
I usually use the term. You carved little holes in my heart.
I still care for people even though I might not like them very much.
Or maybe looks like I don't, but in reality I do very much.

That's really sweet. You should tell that to whoever's left that stony little space empty.

  4. #4

It sounds like it'd be very durable.

There is not much choice for some. An alternative is to smash it with a hammer. And from there you can either cry, or laugh at the wreckage.

Whatever the stone feels... no one cares. Least of all the stone. It's just stone.

an image that has always haunted me is of a stone heart cracked and bleeding- as if the crack is necessary in order to peel off the shell and free the living, bleeding, true heart.

though there are many cultures that believe even stone has a spirit, is a living being. perhaps that applies more, idk. in that case, perhaps instead of smashing the whole you could patch it up with cement or something, even if it's not quite the same. good luck.

That's an endearing sentiment, but not one that I necessarily agree with.

Say something you would agree with.

This is a discussion thread... ideas about the mechanics of the hard hearted. Bear's heart is not the topic of conversation.

I misunderstood then myself. Sorry. Objectively I would also disagree. a hollow empty space is incomparable to a living, flowing, mushy heart. mushy is perhaps inaccurate. a well functioning heart that is able to operate is it was created to.

How do you think the one extreme of a hard heart compares to the other end... a heart that is easy to hurt, and loves everyone.
