Talking to yourself/The voice inside your head

Does anyone have difficulty in differentiating between keeping your thoughts internal and speaking them out loud?

I usually do it when I'm alone. I'll have a string of thoughts that dip between articulated and non-articulated and I usually can't remember where one ends and the other begins.

Yes. Sometimes I accidentally say something out loud, but it's only when I'm very comfortable. So I do it alone and in front of my family members. Sometimes they question me other times they're just like "Kelli's crazy" and move on.

I don't think we INTJs have this problem. . .

I don't think I have this problem all that often... though the occasional, unintentional slip can happen from time to time. Most of the time though, I almost do the opposite. I will get so wrapped up in a thought that I will reply to someone in the outside world only to realize I didn't actually reply to them out loud, but only in my head! I say a lot of ideas under my breath though.

I think a fair number of us of certain types have the opposite problem; getting the thoughts inside to come out in a reasonable fashion at all.

I do engage in internal conversations that run a muck at times, and yeah, like when I'm driving, I catch myself muttering things under my breath, but it is never drastic.

Oh I also have that issue in buckets - probably moreso than most people . But I find the topic of thread to be somewhat disturbing as opposed to being merely frustrating.

I'm an INTJ and I talk to myself, but only when I'm alone. It helps me focus my thoughts.
However, when I'm with others, I only speak when it's calculated. Unlike my ISFP friend, who says what she wants to when she wants to.
