nah I'm kidding. The real reason is because your human, and we all do it. Most of us just lie to ourselves and never admit we do it in the first place.

That depends on what you're lying about and the severity of the consequences.

It must be bothering her, which I suppose makes the original irrelevant. If you truly had no conscience when lying to someone, you would not feel the need to make this topic because it would be justified and fair.

Maybe you have an immortality type complex, "I can tell all the lies I want and they will never know" which will give you superiority.

If you were doing it to manipulate, you would feel good, because it would be working.

I think it stemmed from fear of the truth, and has now grown into compulsive lying.

The Outrageous Lie: "I went to the Bermuda Triangle and was abducted by aliens who told me roosters would one day rule the world. Then they proceeded to shove various things up my ass."

The Distraction Lie: "Holy pigshit! Look at that old lady holding up the seven eleven at gunpoint!"

The "Everyone Knows This is a Lie" Lie: "I did not have sex with that woman you videotaped me having sex with."

The Baiting Lie: "I found your puppy son, he's just down that dark, foreboding alley with no witnesses. I'll take you."
