This is a complicated topic, I don't even know where to start....maybe if you could narrow down the focus way more...

    Depression
I am bipolar. I don't think this discounts me from the equation but in the end I am like a puppet, hanging on the strings of woe or insanity. The days that I'm down I do absolutely nothing. I can't even get out of bed. Why? There really isn't a point to anything. I surrender and get up of course, when the hunger pains get too intense. When I'm uppity I feel like I could do a thousands things in a minute, and I do.

    Fear of failure
What's there to worry? Either you are cut out for it or you're not.

    Low self-esteem
I'll tie this one with the first.

    Lack of interest
The only thing that interests me is writing. I like writing. I have so much going on in my head that if I don't put it down it paper I know for sure that my head will explode. But then I have a nagging feeling that I am destined for something even greater.

    Procrastination
When you put your mind to it you really can do anything. This goes against my INTPness I know, but I'm not one to stand by and remain idle.

    Stress
This I have a lot of. I'm fairly young and my hair has begun to fall out and I even have a few grey hairs!

Hmm, if you find yourself lacking in motivation I suggest putting up some de-motivational posters. You know, like the ones that say something sarcastic. I call that reverse psychology!

    :)

I lack the motivation to answer this on the grounds that I am unmotivated.

I think a lack of motivation comes from a lack of belief in it's various forms. We struggle with motivation when we have no faith in the cause, no faith in our self, or no faith in the outcome. You don't need to believe in them all but you need at least one.

Burnout from spinning my wheels in one spot too long and never gaining any traction and ultimately moving forward. Kind of the work situation I am in now. I guess being overwhelmed and bombarded with more and more work as they continue to cut staff and not replace staff but the feeling I'm not really going anywhere.

Do you mind me asking, how do you manage? I've dealt with depression myself, having difficulty getting going because I keep thinking, So what! But I imagine it's tougher with bipolar because there are days that you get so excited and you might start half a dozen projects but then you'd be down two days later, and this constant up and down must be really hard to take. Though I think I read somewhat that people with bipolar are down more often than they're up, so maybe like down one month, up for a few days, etc...though I don't know if that's true.
