"Evoke the wonderment of life, and indulge in a form of prayer. Not prayer "to" anyone or anything, but prayer "about" everyone and everything. Prayers which make requests are pointless. What will be, will be. Instead, value the kind of prayer when one stands at the edge of the sea, or beneath a tree, or smells a flower, or loves someone, or does a good thing. Those prayers validate existence and snatch it away from meaningless routine."

As an atheist and a human being, these are the types of prayers I value and try to make.

An emergency has come up! I'm taking my mother to the hospital. It's bad today :/ For those of you who pray, please... pray. Pray hard. I have never been more frightened about her health.

    Oh, don't worry about it.

... I mean it, your Serious Panda attitude is not what I've learned to expect from you. Is mom stable?

You've only been registered for a month, have only fifty-eight posts, and you already know what to expect from me? :P

Mum's really weak. She's hanging in there.

I read more than I post, sweetheart. It's a dirty trick, but it works. I am also a fast learner.

We have your mother to thank for bringing you into the world. She has my respect.

Edit: and I'm sorry if that made you cry. I almost did writing it.

I am going to make a prayer for you/ your mother before I go to bed. God willing your mothers condition will improve, I sincerely believe this is the best thing you can do for her (seeking help through prayers.) While I am here, I will add that I most usually greatly enjoy the posts you make, your insight from what I've seen has been intelligent, kind and well founded. I will be happy to pray for you, and furthermore anyone who has not the courage, but rather the humility to seek God's help through the power of prayer.
