reminds me of a quote i recently came across:

"One of the telling signs of genius and the creative spirit is to embrace perceived 'failures' for the treasures of growth and wisdom they may bring us." -Elle Nicolai

I'm reminded of a quote, too:
"Joy and happiness are merely evanescent, but the most cherished memories in your heart will fuel your dreams forever and ever..." - Sakurako Anematsu

Sorrow fully accepted brings its own gifts. For there is alchemy in sorrow. It can be transmitted into wisdom, which, if it does not bring joy, can yet bring happiness.

That one is great too :)

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

I never understood this mindset. One who goes to a job in the "real world" compared to one who goes to a job in their imagination. I don't see the difference. My friend has a lot more world experience than I do in professional jobs and I asked him if he left that job if he would be able to translate those experiences into something else. He said he would be able to and sure he would but couldn't I or you or anyone who writes or designs or creates?
