Why did you pick that? Where did you find it? Did you make it yourself? Is it symbolic in some way?
Sorry if there is already a thread like this somewhere, but I looked all over General Chat (okay, 16 pages back anyway) and couldn't find it. |
It's a lot like Trope expressed it: it's like changing clothes from day one to day two, there is often a different mood you're trying to get across for other people but more importantly yourself. It's about you expressing yourself in a very simple way and possibly hinting at ideals about yourself you wouldn't outwardly express but want people to know about you anyway.
That's the rubric for how I choose avatars but also in any photos I may take myself. It always has to be symbolic.
The avatar itself was extremely hard to find. I remember seeing a screenshot of it somewhere, so I filtered through a good fifteen pages of Google Images and eventually found it. It comes from the Pokemon TV show from the episode Power Play, in which the main character's rival, Gary, apparently takes some time off from his busy schedule to stop and appreciate the things around him. I figure him more as an INTJ but the sentiment I take away from that picture is just loving. I love animals myself, and dig that appreciative look between the Pokemon, Umbreon, and Gary himself. I'm concerned for things outside myself at heart, despite coming off as cold at times. Gotta smell the roses once in a while =P
Also, it was a plus that Umbreon's colors are yellow and black because it goes well with the yellow and black "V.I.P Member" bar above and the plain black "Res" above that. It has a good color flow to it, which is also important.
