Getting called pretty? When you're a guy?

I get called pretty..... a lot..... usually by women....usually indirectly...... but my friend is usually the one in between telling me. I can't tell if this is good or bad. Cause on one hand pretty in general is a good thing. But is it a good thing for a male? Even males jokingly say i'm "sexy"..... which would be awesome if they were famale..... but they aren't. This is a weird thing. Cause on one side all these seem like positive compliments and on the other side it all seems like undertone of.... "you are attractive to men because you are girly looking". Or at least that's what I'm afraid of lol. What do you think? Do you guys get called this ever?

never been called pretty. been called cute. i definitely felt less masculine in the past when i was underweight and super skinny. now i think i am (and seen as) just an average dude, which i am quite alright with. =)

i was asked if i was gay when i was younger though by some dumb guys =/, probably because i was so skinny? i dunno

My compliments directed toward anyone aren't typically considered normal, and when I refer to a male as lovely, or beautiful, it isn't meant to be emasculating. Those are just words that I used to express the feeling that I have when I see something that appeals to me visually. I kinda feel silly for saying 'hot' and 'handsome' is not in my vocabulary.

Anyway, however they mean it, I'm sure its a genuine compliment.

That's kinda how I am. I don't really like using words such as hot, sexy, etc...

Do you feel pretty? Oh so pretty? And witty? And briiiiight?

I think "pretty" is usually a more effeminate term, but who's to strike down unconventional language use?

EDIT: Also, don't think about it too much.

If I called a guy pretty, it definitely would be a compliment. I mean, Johnny Depp has a pretty face.

EDIT: are we going to get a photo here or what? :D

Pretty? Nah. Maybe my hair but I don't make a big deal out of it.

I know what you mean...as if they're leaving something unsaid...

But better that then to be called plain or unattractive.

Take it as a compliment and don't let it affect your behavior. Just be who you are.
