    Thoughts on PS3

I've decided to start saving up for a new console, and I was wondering if I should get a PS3 or some other platform. My first video game system was a Playstation, and I adore my PS2. I'm really looking forward to playing FFXIII and KH3 when they come out. I'm just concerned about paying so much money for it. I saw an article recently that said Sony was being pressured to drop their price, possibly in August. Does this sound like a real possibility?

So my question is, what are your thoughts on the PS3 and is it worth it for me to buy one?

Sounds like you quite enjoy the sony console line and in my experience, those rumors nearly always pan out as being true. I just did a quick web search and the cuts do indeed look like they're just around the bend. The timing doesn't surprise me as they're jockeying for position come christmas time. I say go for it since that's what you're into.

I don't really know about prices, or game availability or anything like that, but on a purely tech spec level, the PS3 is the most powerful console out there. It has tons of processing headroom - meaning, the games that are out now for it are nowhere near taxing it's processing capabilities. Whereas other consoles, say the Xbox, are still powerful, their games are going to start maxing out what the console can do sooner than the PS3.

    I say get a PC; A gamer PC, but I'm a geek :P

I have all the next gen consoles, and can tell that you want something more RPG like. That would be the PS3.

One INTP to another INTP: Get a PS3.

And just trust that I have a ridiculous plethora of reasons to back my choice.

Aah, the PS3. I freakin' love this thing.
The price-drop sounds good; though if I was you, I would try to get it over a buddy, eBay or something. Way cheaper. Or at least make sure you get an interesting bundle with a few good games *for free*. =3
I am not sure what your gaming style is overall, but damn, I sure digged Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, TMNT and many others. The graphics are awesome, and normally I don't give a crap. Plus I love the online-mode. Was very funny, especially for Little Big Planet. Hehe.

The Play Station is one of the best consoles anyways IMO. <_<
Just make sure you don't spend a fortune. =3

Stop being conformists and just use a PC to play games.

So instead of conforming, everyone should conform in the same manner as you because you say so?

I'm so going to use this gambit some day.

I knew someone was gonna catch that. But seriously. Use PCs.
