These are just some questions; of course you could come up with your own. Avoid any of the questions above if you want to. I understand that things aren't as boolean as I've described above; things are indeed more complex than that; but I figured out it could be a guideline nevertheless. You don't have to answer any of them in a formal and structured manner etc.
As for myself:
I feel that the posts have some sort of weird grammar in it. I usually try to do it well as I can but I always get that Le wtf grammar structure. I usually try to convey an idea or a message; and then somebody get it at something else that I didn't mean and usually occurs in a massive fail; but sometimes it's fun. I'd admit; I'm usually too serious in my typing or when I post something for fun; nobody seem to get it as I generally are a serious poster in nature. I avoid emoticons when I can and I type very fast. I have an unconcious ability to derail threads; although I'm not always aware of it. I'm usually too self-critical about my opinions of typing; and I doesn't usually type to criticize other's opinions. I usually type because I'm bored.
Ok; your turn. |

I'm bad at dragging things out, especially in conversations. I like to use smilies to further convey my emotions, and I think I can also go off-topic pretty often. And I edit my posts so many times. If I see a grammatical or spelling mistake, or any mistake that just stands out to me, I'll edit it :).
I usually post with quoting so it's apparent who I'm responding to. I think my typing is somewhat humble? hehe, I don't really know to be honest. I'd make mine a different color, but that'd make it stand out too much, and I don't normally like that :P. |

I attempted to do the long winded approach with him, but his messages were often terse, so I matched suit. Why bother wasting words?
That said, I find that the quote "My letter would be shorter if I had more time," appropriate. When I'm rattling off a message to schwarz, I can throw out several sentences in an attempt to find the best one, but laziness/lack of time gets the best of me, and I don't always prune out the redundant words and numerous qualifiers I use. I also note that I spend a fair amount of time editing some of my posts. Checking and rechecking facts, grammar, and overall flow automatically kicks in for my longer or more serious posts. |

If I need to explain something, then it might be a paragraph.
I think with typing, you can think about what you want to say, and I like that.
You can try and get your point across more clearly.
I don't think a person should type hastily in case someone reads your post and gets the wrong idea. So I would try and clarify in my post as much as I can, unless I don't feel like typing.
If I don't feel like typing, the reply is going to be pretty short... |

* Do you generally type long posts; or do you generally type short posts -- or perhaps does it matter on what type of subject it might be?
Regardless of subject, I usually type short posts.
* Do you type for the sake of it; or simple do you do not care how you write your post; just to get to the point?
I get to the point if that's what you are asking.
* Are you elegant in your typing; or are you more complex?
I'm simple and concise in my writing.
* Do you take consideration of feelings of others when responding to somebody or anything; or do you just do it as bluntly as possible?
In issues that require straight facts to prove my point, I am blunt.
* Do you typically write from a subjective opinion; or do you try to hold that in which you write generally objective (even if it is not totally possible; if you get what I mean).
I don't know what you mean by this.
* Do you generally convey others opinions a matter of thing; or do you convey solely your own opinion?
I convey my opinions and get others' opinions to support mine.
* Are you a serious typer; or are you are a joke full typer?
More serious than not.
* Do you use many emoticons in your posts generally; or do you prefer to avoid emoticons if possible?
No emoticons please.
* Do you use a certain sort of syntax in your posts; like I do here -- many semicolons (it's a programmer habit, ok!)?
No.
* Do you usually get emotional in an argument or discussions; or non-emotional?
Usually non-emotional.
* Do you usually use formal vocabulary; or a more non-formal vocabulary?
I use formal vocabulary.
* Do you prefer to use abstract concepts in your writing; or do you prefer to use non-abstract-easier-to-understand concepts in your writing?
I use simple words, if that's what you mean by non-abstract-easier-to-understand.
* Do you type in a "boring" way; or do you type in a more rhetorical manner?
What do you mean "boring"?
* Do you usually try to form a sort of underlying message in your posts; a sort of unity -- or do you structure up your post in a more structured and part-to-part way?
...what?
* Are your typing usually arrogant in nature of the posts; or more humble in nature? Self-critical in nature or critical of other's of nature (point out flaws in other's posts)?
Neither arrogant or humble, but I do point out flaws in other people's posts.
* Do you usually quote-and-post; or do you usually post without quoting (interacting vs. displaying opinion).
I normally quote when I'm replying to someone.
* Are your typing sort of shy; or are your typing sort of bold?
Bold.
* Do you type out of boredom; or do you type out of interest when responding to a certain subject?
I respond to subjects that interest me.
* Do you type solely to improve your language; or do you type solely for the joy of it?
What does this have to do with writing a post? If you want to improve your language, go take an English class.
* Are you hasty in typing; not looking at your posts before posting them or do you type careful and reread the posts and then post it?
I look over my grammar and spelling with long posts.
* Are you usually regretful for something you typed; or do you generally not care if you regret it or not?
No.
* Do you usually edit your posts much to correct details; or do you leave them alone even if there are faults in language?
Edit when someone points out.
* Do you usually type posts in a supporting manner or just to be a smart ass?
Neither.
* Do you type slow; or do you type fast?
Fast.
* Do you type randomly; or do you type not-so-random?
Not-so-random...? Again, I don't get what you mean. You should be more specific.
* Do you type different depending on your mood; or do your mood don't affect your typing at all?
I suppose moods do affect my style of writing sometimes.
* Does music affect your typing? Or do music don't affect your typing?
No...why would it?
* Do you type often off-topic (derail); or do you usually type very strict according to the topic?
I stay on topic.
* Do you type very close according to your personality; or do you type not-so personally?
I don't know...? Does it matter and how do you know?
* Do you usually do paragraphs in posts; or wall-of-text happy?
"Wall-of-text happy?"...what does that mean?
* Do you generally type to argue; or to discuss?
Depends on the subject, but usually to argue when someone is wrong.
* Do you use a certain color when you type posts?
Standard black.
Now, back to studying. |

* Do you typically write from a subjective opinion; or do you try to hold that in which you write generally objective (even if it is not totally possible; if you get what I mean).
I don't know what you mean by this.
| I suppose what I mean here is that you either write from a factual basis or not. Did you take your opinion from a (scientific) sort of book; or did you form your own opinion on the subject matter? Quote:
* Do you type in a "boring" way; or do you type in a more rhetorical manner?
What do you mean "boring"?
| What I mean with this is that the typer sort of intentionally "catch" the reader; for example to type in aesthetically way. Being boring would be not so. A question that might be: "was it a pleasure to read this?". The content could be the same; but it could be aesthetically different written. Quote:
* Do you usually try to form a sort of underlying message in your posts; a sort of unity -- or do you structure up your post in a more structured and part-to-part way?
...what?
| I think this is sort of hard to understand. You could type something; but if the reader doesn't read everything; the reader wouldn't necessarily get the message; perhaps the reader have to read the post in such matter to sort of understand what the underlying message was -- I can't explain it further than that; sorry. Typing in parts would mean that the post contains different sections; that are relatively different to other parts of the text in the same post. "point to the next point" versus "points everywhere". Quote:
* Do you type randomly; or do you type not-so-random?
Not-so-random...? Again, I don't get what you mean. You should be more specific.
| What I mean with random is that when you type; you get sort of random impulses when you type. It is sort of hard to explain; but when I type something it starts just somewhere; and then I build it up a little here and there and then somehow I get a post that "works" even if it wasn't structured from the beginning and I have no structure. If we look from it from the J/P MBTI; a P would be more random while a J would generally be less random and more structured etc but of course it could be different. Quote:
* Does music affect your typing? Or do music don't affect your typing?
No...why would it?
| Not for everyone I imagine; but in the same sort of way mood could affect typing. For example if I listen to something sad; I would type more sad than default. If I listen to something happy; I would more likely type happy than default. Quote:
* Do you type very close according to your personality; or do you type not-so personally?
I don't know...? Does it matter and how do you know?
| It is of course not easy to know this; but I would know it if I did it. For example I could read somebody's post; and I could apply that style of that post to my post -- sort of "copycat" his or her style of writing just out of nowhere. If I read someone that swear a lot in posts; although I don't swear; I could begin to swear and it wouldn't be alike me. Quote:
* Do you usually do paragraphs in posts; or wall-of-text happy?
"Wall-of-text happy?"...what does that mean?
| That basically mean writing posts (usually long ones) without nearly any paragraphs at all so it looks like a "wall of text" -- I suppose it's a preference thing. Imagine writing and reading a post without nearly hitting enter a single time. |

* Do you typically write from a subjective opinion; or do you try to hold that in which you write generally objective (even if it is not totally possible; if you get what I mean).
My posts are matter of fact or I try to be anyways. I also form my opinions on facts given by others.
* Do you type in a "boring" way; or do you type in a more rhetorical manner?
Unless I'm writing fiction, I couldn't care less if the reader enjoys my writing or not.
* Do you usually try to form a sort of underlying message in your posts; a sort of unity -- or do you structure up your post in a more structured and part-to-part way?
Well, structure applies in my posts I guess. For long posts anyways, I'll have a point and sentences backing up my point.
* Do you type randomly; or do you type not-so-random?
I think as I type and I may not have a structure to my writing, but I can revise later if need be. It's random in that sense.
* Do you type very close according to your personality; or do you type not-so personally?
Well I suppose people have different writing styles, but I don't think anyone would intentionally write according to their known personality.
* Do you usually do paragraphs in posts; or wall-of-text happy?
I use paragraphs because it's easier to read. |
