Making great coffee - thread for coffee lovers

Okay, my guess is most of you in here comes from USA. I dont know though, anyway you are not famous for making good coffee in that country. Please prove me that I am wrong! Not that Sweden is either, we are just good at drinking it, alot.

Anyway how do you drink your coffee on a regular basis, how often and how do you prefer to drink it? Whats the most common way to drink coffee in your country?

I used to drink coffee from pre-grinded beans bought in the supermarket, brewed in an electrical drip-brew.
Now I buy my beans newly roasted, grind them myself in an very old coffee-mill and brew it in a french press.

Marvelous taste, completely different and better than the old method! Did I drink coffee before? I prefer to drink it as it is, but sometimes with very little warm milk. In a small cup, my favorite is an arabic tea cup. I drink coffee one to five times per day..

In Sweden the most common way to make coffee is with electrical drip-brew, older people use sugar, younger use milk or drink it black. But its not uncommon nowadays to see people having a cappuccino, espresso or machiato latt at the cafés of Stockholm, coffee is not only longer two brands of filter coffee for your drip-brew but a very varied market. Luckily enough...

    I like my coffee.

I grind my own coffee beans and use a espresso machine to make my coffee.

    I like myself a flat-white or a latte.

I am going to love this thread if it gets good responses...I take my coffee multiple ways, mostly because of variants of time of day I wake up/what I eat for breakfast/how long i have to make the coffee.

Typically I just take my coffee as regular, from coffee maker (not espresso), and add milk, sometimes from the bottom of the bowl of cereal I have just eaten (unless it was Frosted Mini Wheats or other cereals that leaves crumbs of something in it still). Typically, I prefer Peanut Butter Crunch, as the milk plus peanut butter goes great with coffee when you add just a little Hershey's syrup to it.

I also do the same thing with Espresso, typically not steaming my milk, but putting it in (cools it down enough to where I don't burn myself if I have to drink and drive to school), and adding chocolate syrup (I hate the taste of black coffee, and only drink it as such when I have to, and hate coffee too hot, because I hate burning my mouth).

I am odd, yes, but I also LOVE coffee...and will drink it most/all day if I can...needing at least 1 cup or an espresso to wake up in the god forsaken hours before noon.

I cheat. i have a K cup machine. The good thing about them is that there are many varieties, in singles servings. My favs are the dark roasts. Green Mountain has an excellent one. Tullys is good to. I stay away from Neumans own. Even their extra bold is too weak.

A little milk and sugar, and I'm set. I also like it extra hot.

I love coffee! I used to run the espresso bar at my old church, and it deeply makes me want to purchase my own espresso maker! But for now I just use a regular coffee maker, and take my coffee with some hazel nut cream. I prefer french vanilla though. I love all sorts of coffee...

Peanut butter sounds strange but interesting! I doubt there are cereals like that in Sweden though..I hate when the coffee taste sweet though. It has to be a bit bitter, and dark roasted! If sugar it has to be espresso :)

Hazelnut cream? What nut is next? :)

This is a very important thread so visual aids are needed!

Beans are ground by Krups Fast Touch Coffee Grinder

My coffee is brewed by using a Bodum Chambord 8-Cup French Press

The Bonus Pavina Thermal Glasses that came w/the french press is what I drink the coffee out of. I've already busted one - whoops! - but still have one left. I've also busted a bunch of french presses over the years - whoops! - I think I'm on my 6th one in 15 years.

Coffee I order from amazon.com like Santa's White Christmas or Toasted Chestnut. Or I go to Sam's Club and get Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks Winter Blend, Kona Blend, Buck's Co. Mistletoe

I use half & half and DaVinci sugar-free flavoring syrups.

One to two cups in the morning and I'm good to go.

    And I like it black.

Occasionally, I'll buy a few of these...

I used to buy pre-ground coffee for my french press and always dreamed of grinding my own but was never able to work it into my budget. Now my budget is so bad the only coffee I have is instant supermarket brand style coffee. *shame*
My life is currently full of so much shame that I really shouldn't be so bothered, until I can convince someone to hire me then things won't change.
    *hate*
