General Musings. ie, blind peoples dreams....

2 questions: Does anybody get these entirely random musings, and can anyone answer this question?

Do blind people see anything when they dream? (By blind i mean they have been blind all their life). Do they see anything? Would they recognise it if they did see anything, as they have never seen before? Would they experience it as something they are more used to such as sound, warmth, or emotion? What is a dream? How do we know what is a dream and what is our subconcious?
Do blind people really mind if you call them blind or "visually challenged" as political correctness says we should, or would they find that more condescending?

And more....... Feel free to type your random musings and answer the msings of others. Or ignore the thread entirely and/or write it off as rubbish. Whatever takes your fancy...

This is one of those questions (blind dreams) that you think about when you're in the desert or somewhere else really far away from google and think damn I wish I knew the answer to that. Like always wanting to know what STAT! meant when ever you saw some stupid medical show on TV. I'm so glad I found that out, oh I guess I should regoogle my findings on that one for those saying "oh yeah!!!".... :P

In regards to your question about whether people born blind see anything when they dream, I ran into this reddit post (link) a while back where a guy who was born blind answers a variety of questions. He responds very openly and I found it very enlightening. (Just thought I'd throw this out there.)

In regards to the thread's topic: I've always wondered what animals think of the stars. Some probably see them better than others, or in different hues than we do. They probably sparkle and shine differently to them.

Thanks for the link, i always tried to find a blind person to ask, but whenever i remembered they were rather scarce. Very interesting. How did you find it?

If i move a bug from a dying plant to another plant with more flowers/room for a home, does the bug worship me? Is it grateful? Does it even realise? Did i disrupt it or does it resent me?

For the OP, I remember reading an article about whether or not blind people have visual hallucinations while on, well, hallucinogens. Basically it said that they couldn't see things if they had been blind from birth or up to (I think it was) a year or so old. I'm sure the same thing can be applied to dreams.

Oh, Spades beat me to it. Whatever. I guess that's what I get for not reading the whole thread.
