For those of you who wear glasses

Do you ever intentionally leave a smudge on your lens so that when you are discussing something with another person, at the right moment to make yourself appear more intellectual you pull off your glasses and start to clean them?

Is this just me? I am not saying that I intentionally do this, it was more of a joke really but I could see myself doing it for laughs.

Isn't it weird how something like that can give off body language in such a manner? <3 human mannerisms

Intellectual? No, but I think doing this makes me feel a little more natural to my environment (sensor). It's also showing that I possess an awareness of social norms, and what's considered 'cool'.

Yes, I think cleaning glasses looks cool.

I wear contacts almost all of my waking hours, but when I used to wear glasses this thought did not even occur to me.

I guess I need to start doing this. Though my CDO hates it when I have a smudge on my glasses. Hmmmmm...

I must have seen it in a movie or heard a reference to this habit from somewhere, I do not believe that it is an original idea of mine. I wish I could remember. But as ventolin pointed out, it is not so much intellectual as "cool" when done at the proper time. You will see it in movies and other such media. strange, I had thought this was something everyone thought about

I am rather though. I have cleaned my glasses at specific times in order to appear "cool"

I have no idea why, but my glasses seem to always be dirty...I can clean them, but then just a few hours later they're dirty again xD

My glasses are currently all scratched up and stuff. I should probably take better care of them.

But no, I can't say I have ever done something like that, nor has it ever occurred to me. Besides, I wear contact lenses all the time, unless I'm in the house - then I usually wear my glasses.

You were given an opinion from someone who doesn't keep up with the trends, mind you; after all, is the glasses-cleaning-manoeuvre even considered cool still?

Ah, what about the move where you place the glasses on your forhead?
