Yeah, all the bolded names are British (and/or popular British names). :D "Iris" is Greek, however it's probably still a relatively common English name. Actually, I thought Brody was British, but it says it's Scottish. Evelyn is probably a Gaelic derivative of the Slavic form "Evelin." But yeah, my doggy's name is Evelyn.

    Interesting names though. ;P

My neighbor's name's Julian. I believe it's a hypocoristic form of his first name, "Jules," like in Jules Verne.

Where did this one come from? Fits well with the others.

Evelyn is my grandmothers middle name. It's awesome. Thanks for providing me with the origins though!

Kids can be mean. But I have a feeling that with the names people are coming up with these days (at least in my area) than any child with an original name (James, Brian, John, Matt, Sarah, Lauren, etc) are going to be in for some 'hard times' in the next 10 years or so. Well, maybe not. But you never know!

If I had a boy, I would name him Cicero.

    Potential boy names:
    Aeneas (Yes, the Trojan)
    Hector (Ditto)
Clarus (What I hope he would be)
    Achates (Close to Aeneas)
Anchises (Fucked the sexiest being in existence)
    Peleus (Virtuous)
    Perseus (Good name)
    Kalash (Yes, like the Kalashnikov)
    Nero (I like the name)
    Benjamin (Sounds good)
    Carmine (Gears of War reference)

If I had a girl, I would name her Clare.

    Potential girl names

    Tiberia (Sounds powerful)
    Penelope (A great woman)
    Metis (A wise woman)
    Deneve (A claymore reference)
    Eve (Like the name)
    Eva (Like the name)
    Tullia (Cicero's real life daughter)
    Vera (not a firefly reference!)
Islanzadi (I like the inheiritance cycle.)
    Rene (Ponouced as Ren-ay!)

I didn't know this was an actual name? I just know the name from a game. (Tales of the Abyss)

Lots of Greek/Roman references. Claymore reference? Awesome.
I like the name Nero too but he has a bad rep for screwing the Roman Empire >.>

    I like the names:
    Seraph
    Leon
    Nym/Nimh
    Milli
    Vi
Alix - I know a girl with this name, I think it's pretty cool but I wouldn't want to name my children after people I know/knew.
(can't think of any others atm)
