I have never had the luxury of seeing a baby take their first step, but I've heard from various sources that it's pretty cool.
I was talking to my family not too long ago, and supposedly I began walking on my own around 9 months - which was sooner than my brother and uncle, who began at 11-15 months. Honestly, I thought 9 months seemed a bit old - until I began talking to friends who have children, and they were all waiting until 10+ months.
Baby's first steps. That's such a happy thought. I loved that with my own kids. My mom gave me great advice when I was babysitting in highschool. She said, "If the baby takes his first steps, don't tell the parents. Tell them it looks like he's getting ready to take his first steps." I have never forgotten that because I know it's a joy for a parent to witness that.
Love seeing people take their first steps to becoming more than they are too.
I've never seen a baby take their first steps, although I have seen photos taken when the baby did it. I'm sure for the parents it's a wonderful milestone.
