    Shoes; people wear them.

Clothing is a major accessory and way to show off who you are, but even more important than clothing sometimes, is what kind of shoes you wear. Often times you can tell a lot more about a person by their shoes, than by their hair style or way of dress. So I pose this question to you, and it doesn't have to relate to you type: what kind of shoes do you like and what kind do you find yourself wearing?

Are you the freedom-loving type that wears sandals year-round, even when there is two feet of snow, or are you the tennis-shoes type who prides themselves on comfort rather than trendiness? There are lots of varieties to choose from and I think it will be very indicative of a person's personality, even parts of it that they are not consciously trying to allude to.
As well, are particular brands important to you, or are you a value-shopper? Do you have a large collection or just one pair of favorites you'll never let go of?

Personally, I was always a tennis shoes (or sneakers) type of person, as it was comfortable enough for sitting around in school, and acceptable everywhere. I guess general acceptance was what I was going for at that time. Now I tend more towards the outrageous with respect to sometimes tacky and eye-catching dress shoes that admittedly may conflict with the rest of what I'm wearing. I'm not big on dressing fancy, but it's fun to see people's reactions when I walk around wearing an unusual pair of shoes.

I wear tennis shoes all the time, I even usually have a house pair that I only wear indoors

I like wearing flip flops, or going barefoot. Now I do wear other shoes on occasion when necessary, but I'd say roughly 95% of the year I'm in my flip flops. I have like 50 pairs!

Nike Frees are my favorite shoe for sports, working out, and casually walking around. They're light and flexible.

I will wear Timberland boots in the snow or rain and dress shoes when I dress up, and occasionally I may wear Jordans, but the Frees are my mainstay.

I wear black, low top ox converse. Although I LOVE shoes as an artform and keep up with new shoes that come out by my favorite designers (which are usually of the avant guarde persuasion) I personally just wear my black converse. It does get incredibly hot here in summer and then I switch to my black flip flops.

I'm not sure what this means about who I am as a person. I notice that even though I really like art and fashion as an art I prefer to be very low key. People are often surprised to learn of my interests. I think part of it is that I don't like to give anything away about myself publicly.

I'd be interested to hear your interpretation of black low top converse.

My favorite shoes right now are my Steve Madden Cowboy boots. Because I teach fitness and am in training you will often find me in sneakers: Nike Shox for kickboxing, Nike Pegasus for running, Oboz for trail running.

I confess, I have a lot of shoes. Brands are very important to me. I don't like to go shopping often, so I try to buy quality that will last. Chinese Laundry-another favorite of mine.

low top converse in dark colors (black or grey) for most of the time. I also have a pair of sneakers that I use for exercise. I also have some flats and low heels but I don't wear these often, or at all. As an additional note I am in High School, my shoe style will definitely change when I'm older and have a professional career.

I would say the shoes that I enjoy wearing most are my tall riding boots even if they are a bit uncomfortable. However, I only wear these at the barn, and always with tight black or white riding breeches. If I'm wearing these babies I mean business.
    (not my leg)

That's how I was too and often threw on a pair of old Nike shoes when I exercise.

@ Isitso: Ah, I knew someone would include some serious boots. Awesome. Are you into sport equestrian riding or is it just a hobby?

Black suggests that you don't want to stand out, although some people might see it as vaguely as a nonconformist style of choice, even though black is about as conformist as possible in the real world. Although you already mentioned that you're rather secretive about yourself, so I'll pretend I didn't pick up the "not wanting to stand out" from what you wrote. =P Additionally, I've noticed that those who go out of their way to not stand out, the ones that you can tell are trying to just blend in (versus those who actually do blend in), always have more to say. While they veil themselves in "normality" they usually have very select interests and thoughts.

Low tops are for mobility; light-weight, comfortable, and not constraining. I hate high top shoes because they don't lend the same kind of dexterity as lower-cut shoes do, although they have their own uses.

As far as my personal experience goes, a lot of the people I see wearing low top chucks are the people more likely to be interested in trends in a intellectual sense, while resenting those who are "trendy;" the hipsters, the Abercrombie crowd, and the like.

(I'll finish this in a minute ... something compelling from your profile requires my attention elsewhere. I'll edit this in a bit.)

I think you have it pretty exactly. I often say I try to feign conformity. Sadly, people tell me I fail miserably. Oh well.

    "...compelling from my profile..." *gulp*

I normally don't wear any shoes unless I absolutely have too. It feels better to me to go without them. I can feel more energy or something going through my body. Shoes block it.
