From a early age I was very charming, never doubted myself and was quick witted which made me the life of the party.

@maenad , what Fizz meant was that we have from time to time, other types that come on to our board and start threads like 'Rumor has it ESTPs are serial killers, let's find out'. And it's annoying. Cause we have empathy, we just don't wear it on our sleeve that's all, I have a strategic mind that I always want to use in a smoke filled back room.

Alright, let's come together and sing kumbaya.

oh ok, and I agree I know in Please understand Me, it says we fake empathy but i tend to not believe that I tend to be sympethetic towards people and you would not have the ability to feel that if you did not have the ability to be empathetic.

Yeah, it's hidden. Please Understand Me says that? There's a lot of things out there written by people without any brains. That's my nice way of putting it. Bullshit. We need books written by authors who are Artisans.

    1. I'm a very fast learner, I just don't find it to be as much of an ease learning from a book or reading about something than me just trying things out and doing it.

    2. The doctors weren't too sure, but they thought I was borderline Asperger's and have mild ADHD (for sure). I'm doing pretty dandy. All people are crazy, some people just have labels put on their crazy.

interesting, autism spectrum disorders are not common in women. I consider myself intelligent like you and learned to compensate early in life for my disabilities.

That's what drives me crazy about some of the articles on Artisans, it's coming from a biased and likely typist perspective. An ESFP shared with me some pages from a book and it basically just insulted Se-doms. I did not appreciate the book but I don't think she minded it too much.

Biased descriptions like that give our type a bad wrap, we are capable of authentic empathy and sympathy (they're not interchangeable like some may think). We're just not as likely to show it because that's usually not our first priority. That also depends upon which cognitive functions one uses most often.

Honestly, why does it matter what others think of us or our type?

If someone thinks all Se-doms are shallow and unintelligent or that all ESTPs are sociopaths, then so be it. I know it ain't true and I'm not gonna go for lengths to prove it to some hardheaded, ignorant people.

I'll just ignore that person whether it's IRL, here or some other website.

I've been diagnosed with ADHD, it's a huge disadvantage - although it has huge pro's also.. elaborating will take too long so uhm. :)
