    Like Driving?

I absolutely love to drive, I crank my music, put my windows all the way down, and drive FAST. I consider myself to be a really good driver, and I'm always weaving in and out of lanes on the highway to make sure I'm getting to where I'm going as fast as possible. anyone else like this or similar?

Hell yeah! I actually went to a party last night that was in a town 30 mins away from where I lived. I didn't care about paying for gas or the trip itself. It was just as much fun traveling there than it was being there. Nah, I take that back. I got pretty trashed, lol. Also, when I have my windows down, I like putting my arm and just feeling the air whiz by

haha nice, yeah long trips dont bother me, I live about 40 min from URI where all the parties are so I drive up every weekend and I dont mind the 60 mile round trip at all

My ESTP likes driving, and he is a good driver, too. I am the drive-fast-to-get-there-as-quicky-as-possible type, but he is much more relaxed. I think he likes driving because it's "something to do", while for me it is just a necessary transition period to get somewhere. He also likes to explore the areas by car and learn the roads and streets so that he can effectively find the best way somewhere when he actually wants to.

I'm the exact same way. You just get this feeling of being in the moment and going fast. You're also in a way feeling like you're exploring uncharted territory sometimes. I'll get off of work around 10 o'clock at night and sometime I don't even feel like going home. I'll just crank up the music and drive to wherever and come back an hour later.

haha nice thats actually a good idea, I would do that if gas wasn't so expensive. but yeah dude, last week I got lost while driving and I knew I didnt have anywhere to be for a couple hours so instead of trying to find my way back I just kept driving. It was an awesome feeling to drive on roads I'd never been on, and have nowhere specific to go.

    Total drive-a-holic here . . .

Ah! Yes - I hear you guys! Wondered if there was an ESTP connection there :) I'm yet to meet a girl who likes to drive as much as I do.... (actually, I've never met another female ESTP. new to the forum!) I'm talkin 10+ hr road trips, just me and some grooves... companions are always nice, but it ain't no thang to make the trek alone.

And I happen to be a fab driver! Better than most guys I know - I've always felt one with the road. And ditto on the wasting gas just for cruisin' ...do it all the time. killed my wallet in college. Friends think it's strange & joke that I should be a cabbie or truck driver all the time.

(weird - talking about myself a lot - is this normal? teach me your ways!)

Just joined - been reading these ESTP threads for like a year and finally decided to get in on the action :) I'm talkin peoples' ears off about MBTI stuff 24/7 and I think you guys are just the outlet I need - Looking forward to some good discush!

I too love driving. I love driving fast. I love driving random places. I have no issue driving 10 hours to get somewhere. I like just getting in the car and making a road trip to meet people I know online.

Whitney, welcome to the personality cafe. You should make yourself a thread in the introduction forum.

New here, just know someone who is an ESTP. He goes fast but is never wreckless.

In addition to driving fast, he gets frustrated with those who don't signal, who don't pay attention while driving (example: maintaining a constant speed or slowing down for no apparent reason), or those who jump out in front of him in the fast lane. And he considers himself a great driver.
