It is common amongst ESTJ's who are in relationships to develop crushes on other people & work at creating something more with their crush while keeping their partner on hold in case things don't turn out with the crush? Or does this not have anything to do with personality type but maybe with other issues, including ones within their relationship?

I don't think so. ESTJs tend to be loyal to their mate. They might look, or even talk about it, but they wouldn't cheat.

Hmmm... I think that depends on their satisfaction level with their mate, I have been involved with one who cheated on his girlfriend with me, and even then still couldn't keep it in his pants!

ESTJs are doing things in a big way by helping a huge mass of people than one person at a time. Not all ESTJs are bullies unless they are raised to be a bully. I am all for trying to understand and give others the benefit of the doubt, but y personal experience it would probably be alot easier for most of us to do so with ESTJ's if we hadn't all had quite awful experiences with them. I believe they absolutely have good in them, for a brief moment in time i've seen it, but it seems that they always tend to return to that sarcastic hurtful hard shell they enclose themselves in and in doing so hurt the ones who love them most.

I'm ESTJ and this is my behaviour in relationship.

1. I am loyal, honest, committed, and persistant to my mate.
2. Cheating isn't my nature. But if I feel insecure, means that I feel my S/O isn't being loyal to me, I tend to seek another possible mate while keeping my partner beside me.
3. I tend to wait until my partner dump me rather than saying the break-up words to him.
4. I don't know about romance, but I don't need lots of romance. Its the little things he did that matter.
5. It's not easy for me to really fall in love with someone, but when I feel it, I definitely will dedicate my life for him.
