Okay, so... I'm on the trail of who I think to be an ESFP female. What are your thoughts/projections of what might happen?
Does ISTJ-ESFP tend to work? I read somewhere that ESFP's and ISTJ's are among the better matches...

Really? Are there no ESFP's on this board?![]()

Hi Narco...Speaking only for myself, being ESFP and Enneagram 7, I wouldn't fit well with an ISTJ because tradition and duty are low on my list of priorities. I need to be on the go a lot and need plenty of stimulation, and I enjoy talking quite a bit, especially about people and who they are, what they're up to. There are many subjects that interest me but people is one subject that I, and from what I've heard, other ESFPs, tend to be very interested in. Sometimes this drives my INTJ husband crazy, lol.
That being said, if you're looking for someone to pull you out of yourself, someone who can fill in where you're weak, and vice versa, then ESFP/ISTJ might be a good match. If it turns into a long-term relationship, there can be quite a few issues that need resolving, sometimes on a daily basis. If both people are mature, it can work out well, if not, you might frequently be pulling in opposite directions.
Well, I read somewhere in Kiersey's works that ESFP's tended to be a perfect match for the ISTJ because the ISTJ marveled at the ESFP's tendency to have a high energy level and a flashy appearance.

I guess ISTJ could go along well with ESFP as long as ISTJ could stand of the extrovert and messy side of ESFPs.
I find that male ISTJs are the type that ask about females. If they ask too much it gets boring.
ESFPs can be a social Butterfly with a long string of pearls or a black widow Spider.
Your best matches are the ESFJ Pony girls. Plenty of them around.

I can't imagine...at least not for a serious relationship if both people are typical types. ISTJ and ESFP only have one point in common, and relationships usually work best if there are a lot of similarities with a few differences for relationship stimulation. On the other hand, my husband is INTJ with a very strong S, so he's close to ISTJ. Having compatible Enneagram types can help, and since my husband is 6w7 and I'm 7w6, we have enough in common to make it work. So I guess I'd say if you're interested in someone, look at more than just M-B compatibility.
I believe this type of woman will usually require alot of attention. She usually will have massive sex appeal and great social skills. She is kind, understanding, and down to earth but is fully aware of her appeal to the opposite sex.
Soo YOU will have to be confident, yet not arrogant and be willing to pursue. Show lots of interest and affection.
Good Luck
P/s Im an ESFP woman so I speak from experience![]()
I'm now dating an ESFP.She says that she "trapped" me.
We seem to be getting along very well. However, she sometimes says I'm insensitive.
She is very flirty and very extraverted/sociable, though when she first meets someone she comes off as shy and quiet. The hardest thing for me to overcome with her is her tendency to be a P (late/messy etc...) But she tries not to be, and it doesn't bother me too much.

Messy and late...that is also a ESFP. Sounds like me. Trapped? I don't know. hmmm Do you feel trapped? or do you like the Idea of her trapping you?
