I think it is a phase im going though. Im dating a man I wouldn't have normally. He doesn't have much personality or charisma but is an interesting person.
I love them for a little while, then when they become condescending I feel hurt and become really mean.
What really makes me mad is they think I don't realize they are being condescending. Sorry im starting to go off to something else...but yeah

    ESFP - The Performers

    NinjaSwan:
My wife is INFJ. Sometime I read "Please Understand Me II" before I sit down and talk to her just to remind me what an INFJ response will be, then I compare that with what she says. There is quite a gap between ESFP and INFJ, and the E/S really hurts me. She has learned to let out her sense of humor which tends to surprise me. Also, as she and I discussed, I wait until after she has snarled at me, wait for 5 to 10, then discuss what I heard from her and why I think I didn't deserve it. "Do you need help?" "NO!!!!" She's aggravated at the kitchen timer, or whatever, but I get the anger. So, we have worked out a way to discuss the issue, at least bring to her the awareness of how it came across to me within the window of time when it is fresh on both our minds.

It's difficult because she'll get angry at the smallest of things (and the most unimportant of things at least in my view) and I won't know what they are, since she'll assume I know and won't tell me, and when she does, I'll think it's ridiculous. She's a bit self-centered and craves attention and love, so when she doesn't get what she wants, she lashes out or acts cold. She's also extremely narrow-minded and doesn't see the views of others, only her own, so when I voice something that's even only a tad bit different from her beliefs, she immediately criticizes it. (I think she's also part J-type due to this and the fact that she CAN plan things out, but often does things on the fly.) It's aggravating and makes me question my beliefs, which may be a good thing in an N's eyes (want to find a deeper meaning), but hurts my ego. I don't think she realizes how much it pierces me.

    On the positive side, she's a ton of fun when she's in a good mood, and does care about others (despite her selfishness), randomly doing nice things for people every once in a while. She's full of life, funny, and very playful. She often takes up the leader position and takes initiative, while I get to be dragged around and not do too much work, which is nice. She's almost like a drug to me...I want to hang with her a lot, but when I do, I become exhausted afterwards...but after resting, I want to spend time with her again. @_x;;
I am new to the site so the fact that people can summ me up fairly well is kind of shocking. I am an ESFP and a lot of people are just like me apparently.

Your friend seems like meee teeheeee. My friend told me about how I was changing her and well, we had a chat about it like mature people doooo. I told her I was sorry but I couldn't help but be repelled by her sometimes. Now we are on the rocks, I am not sure if she sees them but I do.

She's a great girl but we don't mesh well. I am flexible and playful and kind of easy-going and she is kind of rigid. She follows things to the book and is controlling and when she argues she won't shut up. I would present my opinion most of teh time but sometimes her arguements are ridiculous. She would be yelling and I'd be like whatever, it was just milk or something and stop yelling; you are messing up my mellow. Maybe I just won't debate with her anymore. To add, I like disorder and I like bending rules and plans so rigidity... :S

Despite the preceding, I think we both want to keep our friendship as I like keeping friends and I like talking to her and she's pretty fun at times. I hope yours is going well. Maybe it will foreshadow my future.

    some observations:
he uses ages to eat. he has these rituals, and he keeps doing everything but eating when he has the food in front of him, like checking facts on his lap top, waiting for the food to cool, humming melodies and jingles, talking on the phone.
he always have to look up facts on his computer
he constantly has these catchphrases or words that he has heard somewhere, and he incorporate these in his daily life at all times. i only have to start on some funny commercial jingle or one liner, and he is sure to finish it.
he is always up for a beer(or ten)
he likes to sleep with the television on
when he is at work(at a kindergarden), he constantly wear himself out by playing with the children all the time(allthough his energy seems endless at times).
when we are playing football/soccer i like to have him on the same team because he gives everything and is a good team player.
at home he is very lazy and likes to watch tv while chatting on facebook and playing poker
This description so much describes my housemate who I suspect to be ESFP! (either ESFP or ENFP, but I'm pretty sure ESFP.) He can play like 3 different high-energy sports in one day and be racing around, but when he's at home he lazes out completely. And he is often "multi-tasking" - supposedly watching shows or a movie when he's mainly facebooking, texting and watching funny videos on youtube. He often is loudly singing or humming something that just got caught in his head, he has a great memory for funny quotes from movies/shows and will often quote them at random and highly amuse himself, and if there's something he's just discovered that he gets enthusiastic about he has to share it with you straight away "hey look at this! hey listen to this!"
