I'm pretty sure my mom is an ESFP. We get along some of the time. She considers me too quiet or withdrawn sometimes, and she's too bubbly and overwhelming for me at times. She's also more focused on the present, and enjoys games and tv, while no matter what I do I'm always slightly "in the clouds."

Eh, the INFP is a strong ground for an ESFP that is a light bubble for the INFP.

Honestly, I think the sex might be really great in this match up. Since its Se and Ne. Ne will offer the spontinaeity to keep the Se interested, and I'm pretty sure Se dom can be seen as a good thing haha.

Si and Ne is completely different.

ESFP's will like INFP's for their commitment and good values if nothing else, as long as the INFP stands up for themselves and refuses to become a tool. (another reason why the relationships a good thing for both of their maturity)

Ditto! I have the same question. I am an ISTJ and I am really curious to meet one of these strange ESFP (or ESTP) creatures because Myers-Briggs says we would get on!?
But looking on this site I only see where people have known them but not here it seems... Don't they come here?

This is my 1st posting.

I have searched, "esfp infp", in this forum but have not found any thread on it and decided to start on one.

I am an INFP (and sometimes an ENFP, depending on the mood when I take the Jung personality test). Actually I am interested in this lady who is an ESFP (and sometimes ISFP - depending on her mood when she takes the Jung personality test too).

We are heading off well, but I found her really laid back! It seems to me that she is interested in the present only, not bothering to think of the future. And she is conventional too. I wanted to try to head for my dream, but she will suggest that I should not do it. I should go for bread over love.

There seems to be so much of differences (opposite) in us.

IMO, this match is totally doable. I had a good friend that was an ESFP and we never formally dated, but I thought about it often, and I know he did as well.

What I loved about being around him: he was more outgoing than I so the conversation was never dull, he was spontaneous, he was so laid back that whenever I got in a mood he was not confronting about it but let me be how I needed to be, he had his own interests and passions separate from mine but often let me know that he was interested in what I was, he was always there for me no matter what (loyal), he had a lot of love inside and it showed in the way he acted.

No two ESFPs are going to be alike, but I say go for it!

I am "back" after 3 and a half years. I read all the postings and really thank you guys and girls (ESFP, INFP) for your thoughtful sharing.

I was following the thread until early 2010 when I was engulfed by work.

I went for the girl, we worked out for 2 years and still ended up broke up (I would say she is broken-hearted and I am regretting my decision, should have hold on to it :( ).

I restumbled into this thread when I was googling for help. ESFP vs INFP and ISFP vs ENFP and INFJ vs ISFJ.

Somehow over the years as I moved from a engineering career of 5 years to a sales career of 3 years, I realised and thought I have changed much. Yet to my rediscovery, I also re-realised my core stayed fixed.

I read many books on MBTI, Socionics, The Highly Sensitive Person, Enneagram, The Gifted Adult. These gave new insights and also caused more confusion for me.

So who am I really?
