I am not surprised. You seem to be very present in the moment, and a positive, forthright person, like other ESFPs I know.
If you are interested in how you match up in Socionics types, this relationship chart is interesting. Complete relationship chart between psychological ("personality") types If you feel confident of the types of certain people in your life, friends, family, you can locate your relationship type with them on this chart and see if your relationship with them matches the description. (If you had ever checked it as an ENFP, it would have thrown everything off if you weren't that).
I'm so confident my best friend is an ESFP. I just love her. She's so random and hilarious all the time. She talks all the time and we can never stay on one topic on conversation for extended periods of time since she goes off on so many tangents. Normally I clash with extroverts because they constantly need me to socialize with them otherwise they feel like I'm not their friend anymore, but not this girl. She has so many good friends that I can just go to her whenever I feel like socializing again and she'll be totally fine with it. Sometimes I'm to serious for her, but we always have a good time. I love ESFP's. They make me happy. ^^
The ESFP description annoys me in how authoritatively, yet mostly accurately describes me.
