Possibly because the ESFJ guy would try to mimic ESTJ/ESTP guys to "fit in", and ends up with a persona of "shallow, brainless douche."
The one ESFJ guy I knew was a pretty nice guy, generically tried to get along with everyone. Meh.

    Edit: not that ESTxs are shallow brainless douches x_x;;

Edit edit: you know you're an ESFJ when you've planned your entire week by 15 minute sections, and feel agitated when you cannot do what the schedule says (seriously, I've seen this and it weirded me out).

Such a ESFJ thing to say ;D

    Well, no.
I actually often go out as the winner when it comes to rivalry about a girl between me and ESFJs (but not always).
And we do often compete over the same type of girls.
Its just that the male ESFJs (i have met) dont have any characteristics i appreciate and their macho-attitude feels so overambitious that i cant stop wondering over what part of themselves they try to compensate.
If they just could chill down a peg with their image-wanking and have something interesting to say i would get along with them much better.
Lucky Acidstar also said it pretty good.

ESFJ-females on the other hand always make me smile and burns like a flame that you just want to warm yourself at, but at the same time are afraid to get burned by.
    And the looks, lordy lord!

We joke alot though and make fun of my ESFP brother. Not because hes ESFP.

I do NOT like ESFJ: they blabber too much, talks to anyone and everyone, talks too long as in never knows when to politely stop, gossips a lot, has a tendency to be a back-stabber, likes to tell mean jokes, has a salesman mentality, exaggerates too much, likes to flirt, thinks he is funny but in reality is not, too impulsive! Could be a great candidate for one leading a double-life/psychopath in the making!

Wow, there are unhealthy people of /every/ type. You can't just judge every ESFJ just because you got to know a bad one. There are good people in every type. That was such an ignorant thing to say.

Wow it sounds like you have A LOT of hate for ESFJs. Someone who you think is an ESFJ must have really hurt you, huh? That doesn't mean all ESFJs are like that and is very hurtful that you generalize all ESFJs as such.

I am talking about an unhealthy/dark, yet charming ESFJ--makes me think of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde (kind of split personality)

Ok, well then please STOP generalizing that all ESFJs are like this - you are basing an entire type off of your experience with one person.

IF you read my post thoroughly, the only generalization I made were:THEY talk too much, THEY blabber too much, all the others are in singular form...comprendes?

MBTI talks about the "dangerous ESFJ"..and I speculate that that particular type could be the "ideal psychopath/double-lifer"--charming yet deadly, a classic Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde!

ESFJs who have not had the advantage of developing their own values by weighing them against a good external value system may develop very questionable values. In such cases, the ESFJ most often genuinely believes in the integrity of their skewed value system. They have no internal understanding of values to set them straight. In weighing their values against our society, they find plenty of support for whatever moral transgression they wish to justify. This type of ESFJ is a dangerous person indeed. Extraverted Feeling drives them to control and manipulate, and their lack of Intuition prevents them from seeing the big picture. They're usually quite popular and good with people, and good at manipulating them. Unlike their ENFJ cousin, they don't have Intuition to help them understand the real consequences of their actions. They are driven to manipulate other to achieve their own ends, yet they believe that they are following a solid moral code of conduct.

PS Having read many of the posts on this thread about ESFJ--I see that many of the traits I mentioned are also included on several posts about the ESFJ e.g. gossipy, flirtatious, mean, charming, manipulative, lying, prone to exaggeration, etc.!

I did read your post thoroughly, and your response proves my point with you saying "THEY" - you are generalizing. THEY = all ESFJs. Any type can be "dangerous" - not just ESFJs and it's very shallow and offensive for you to come on the ESFJ forums and bash like this. Please stop.
