    ENTP and college major/college experience

I am a sophomore in college with a solid 3.4 GPA. The problem is my constant changing of majors, I have been a physics, computer science, journalism, political science, economics and now finally an english major. I have never gotten below a B in a class so it's not as if I leave these majors because they are to hard, my friends study for their physics exams while I play PS3 and then I out score them, but because the major becomes too boring. I now am a english major with 3 minors, physics, poli sci and art. So what is a good major for an ENTP? I feel I could do anything except accounting for which I would become an alcoholic and shoot myself from shear boredom, and that would be after my first week (I view accountants like the boss from Office Space, the most dry individuals). As far as general college experience, I seem to piss off my SJ friends, which I find funny because they are the guys studying constantly and I do nothing. I was also wondering what major has the highest concentration of ENTPs? Is there any research on that?

I am having a hard time of choosing my career, right now I'm thinking about Public Relations, I feel that ENTPs have a natural talent in presentation and managing people, talking to them. And Public Relations seems to satisfy my need of something new every day. :D

Also I'm thinking about chemistry/pharmacy major, I'm still in highschool, but I like the theoretical side of organic chemistry, of course it's probably nothing like a college, but still.

Is somebody here working in chemistry field or public relations? Can you tell us about your work? What's good, what's bad and stuff like that?

I actually majored in accounting and loved it. I never wanted to be an accountant (I wanted to go into finance), but I love the academia of accounting. It's all about learning rules and how to manipulate them. What's not to love?

Both are awesome majors,+ we need more women in comp science and physics, I remember sitting in my CS and Physics lectures thinking "total sausage fest in here", and that's when I switched to english.

Jumping from major to major, don't fight it. I've jumped also, got going with one thing, only to get bored to switch to another. Eh, something about committing to just one thing. Blah. Just keep circling around, you'll finish one eventually. :)

    I, too, am a sophomore.
I began college with the intent of studying English. I changed my mind after taking Comp 101.
    Then Chemistry....
    Then Anthro....
    Then Philo....
I've since decided to stick with Mathematics. Coupled with Economics. I don't really want to end up with a job doing either of them. To be completely honest, I don't like the idea of working.

I'm a freshman. I'm doing physics (planning on it, anyway) because I've loved space since I knew what it was. However, I feel like a BS in physics could probably get me anywhere (Law school is another option). I've wanted to do linguistics, biology & economics at various times, but physics seems like a good call.

And I wouldn't discount accounting (hehe); I have a bunch of friends who're doing it, for the simple reason that it's a no-fuss, quantitative analysis job that'll get them a lot of money so they have time and money to do fun things. So I dunno, don't talk crap about accountants. But I agree that people of our temperament might be bored with it.

Being a year younger than you, I can't so much offer advice as let you know that you aren't alone in wondering about this.
