ENTPs and Jealousy

I just want to know how many other ENTP's get jealous. I get jealous over random things like:
- having attention taken away from me
- someone not noticing me
- having my love ignore me
- having people mention all these girls, call them gorgeous and me just pretty.

And I never get jealous over other girls and my boyfriend...just random things like above. How many other people feel this way?

Never .. The time thing has never been an issue for me in relationships because I usually have several projects that I juggle. I have a short attention span and I'm pretty much out of sight, out of mind (which also makes it very easy for me to move on after relationships).. It sounds like your jealousy stems from needing people to validate you and your selfworth.

I got jealous a few times when my girlfriend was talking to other guys. I can control that. I get jealous about other people having cooler stuff than I do, like an iPhone, or any cool gadgets. I think that is reasonable and normal.

I can't really say if jealousy is weak point for ENTPs. I haven't been driven by it since I was a child. Maybe that is an F type issue.

Yeah, same here. Sure I get jealous from time to time, but I wouldn't say I'm any worse than the next person.

I do get jealous, but its of a singular quality. When I first encounter the stimulus (the girl talking to my guy, being ignored, etc) I don't really react, i.e. feel no jealousy or anger.
However, later (be it ten minutes or a day later) I start to get really worked up for no apparent reason. I feel super jealous for a few hours, then it goes away again.
Reeeeally not sure what the deal is, but since I get mad later I dont do anything foolish or rash.

I think jealousy is normal to a degree. Most of my life I haven't been jealous of much, but it seems that lately I've been more and more jealous. I think it has a lot to do with your confidence level and what you are jealous of. For me, I tend to get more jealous (at least lately) of people who travel to unusually countries or know other languages. I realize that these are things that I can change, but because I've been thinking about them more these days, they make me more sensitive to those who have done these things already. It is also inspiring.

I'm rarely made jealous by someone I'm dating, never really have been, but if I am, it has to do with me not knowing where I stand with them, and then usually the relationship ends because they don't know what they want.

I think that the more you dig into why you are jealous of something, then you start to realize what can be done to change your reaction and see things realistically.

Rarely jealous. Even when it comes to relationships.

But I hate it when someone tries to make me jealous. It's amusing, but annoying all at the same time.

If I feel jealousy, it's only a tiny twinge that I shake off. I would never act on it.

This. Though it's the type of jealousy that comes and goes in a flash. I get excited about new technology but it quickly passes. I don't get jealous in relationships. It may be due to the fact that I think I am exponentially better/cooler than everyone else. I'm not sure if this is an ENTP thing or if it's simply me having an ego.

Well charlie I will be the first to admit I do get jealous like you do. I chalk it up to my 4w3 heart mixed with my dominate 7w8. 7s and 8s both like to be noticed. 4's like to be known (not the same as noticed). Mix those together and I happen. Its funnier due to my double 8s means I can get really moody and aggressive about it and try to take control.
