I have a strange genetic disorder called Porphyria....the chemical structure in there is that of the simplest porphyrin.....I plan on getting a tattoo of it within the next year. without the flowers, of course......just the chemical structure.

It has been a major part of my life, causing many symptoms. Weird symptoms. It has caused a lot of struggles but I'm better because of it.

several of us on the Porphyria facebook group- the main way we can connect- are forming a more permnant organization but of yet it is very informal. Nevertheless, an important part of my life.

Yes, I follow dietary and medication restrictions to avoid triggers. Thankfully I have a mild case but it has greatly affected me

I am going on vacation with my family in the beginning of August. I'm looking forward to it because I love the ocean, and we will be in Florida..... But I am really worried. I havent spent this much time with my dad in the last year, since my mom and I moved out. I dont know how much I will be able to stand.

I just got a virus(malware actually) on my desktop computer for the first time in years from a link someone posted in some other thread on THIS forum.
I am incredibly pissed at whoever posted it. It was a link to "intpforum.com". Heads will roll.

I am also normally happy to explore a new virus and to look at the [ineffective] ways people have developed to make it unremovable. Hopefully the blue-screen will be fixed by the chkdsk I'm running (it's "performing additional recovery", which almost always means it will fix the BSOD). Otherwise I get to fix a real boot-sector virus. That's something I've never encountered before. I'd be excited if only I weren't sick right now :/
