Could an ENTP give off "SJ vibes"?

I've been trying to type one of my best friends for a really long time, and I finally settled on ENTP. She's ridiculously smart, very sassy, and quite messy. (There are additional reasons for my conclusion, of course.)

However, my boyfriend has met her a few times and swears he always gets "SJ vibes," and he is quite proficient at typing people, so now I'm doubting my typage. Can ENTPs appear to have SJ-esque qualities to those who don't know them well?

an ENTP with SJ vibes? We're like the farthest thing from SJ. Are you sure she's not an ESTJ? I've met a female ESTJ and that was a sassy bitch. I also had a crush on her because she was so full of sarcasm.

Haha, I know, that was my original reaction too.

But no, I really don't think she's an ESTJ. I know a few ESTJs really well, and she strikes me as quite different from them. I also find it hard to believe she could be a J because she is so damn messy. She's the messiest person I know besides myself (and that is a huge accomplishment). She also doesn't have the control-streak ESTJs do.

your friend could just see her being reserved and such. Because when I'm around people I dont feel like opening up to, I come off as conservative and shy. So he could just be seeing her introverted side, which we're also known to have

People say this to me all the time, that I give off "SJ vibes." What does that even mean? I just assume it means that you assume only SJs can be bossy.

I grew up with an ESFJ father & younger sister and ESTJ older brother, I think my mother and younger brother are SPs. After being raised by an ESFJ and close to my ESTJ brother I joined the military. After all that I can completely give off an SJ vibe. ESFJ and ENTP actually have the same cognitive functions, just in a different order so it's not hard for me to mimic my dad's SJness. Also having the military experience, when I'm annoyed or agitated with someone I can go into "drill sergeant mode" which can really come off as ESTJ.

Also SJs can be very demanding that things be done the same way as before because it worked (more or less) and refuse to take orders that promote quick or radical change. NTs can be very demanding that things be done in an efficient way and refuse to take orders that promote repetition without a logical reason. Both types can demand things get done and can refuse to take orders. So yeah, an ENTP can easily give off an "SJ vibe" if they want to.

Haaahaha, errrmmm, he is also a PerC member, so you should probably be careful what you say...

Since there have been a few people who've replied and don't think I'm totally crazy for asking this question, I don't know if it's fair to say he's an idiot.

I can give off really big SJ vibes when I feel defensive around new people.

I become quite controlling and nit picky, being overly obsessed with defending my status and appearing in control rather than letting loose and letting my mind and body run wild like usual. I can come across as really judgemental too.
I can see that its an unhealthy thing for me because I know who I am as a person overall, but for someone who only meets me during that time, they only see me acting like a real SJ jerk.

Maybe thats whats happening when your boyfriend meets your mate.
