    ENTPs & Valentine's Day

My ENTP hates all holidays, especially V-Day, and he makes no secret of this.

As an ENFP, I'll take any reason to make any day of the year a little more special than another "normal day". Because why not? My ENTP knows this about me and celebrates accordingly, because he's the best, and he humors me.

Do you guys like Valentine's Day?

What the best V-Day gift you've received (tangible or otherwise)?

I fucking despise that hallmark holiday. It makes girls think they need an exuberant outward expression of the love they'd probably never question if it weren't for this fake day. It makes single girls depressed which single handedly pays for the college tuition of anyone in the chocolate or ice cream business, and it makes men broke. All of this to make their girlfriend have sex with them, which they would do on any other day without a problem.

God forbid the poor soul that forgot it was Valentines Day because he'll have to experience fire and brime stone rain down upon him for forgetting such a holy holiday.

In short. It sucks and I hate it.

I don't even really have an opinion... that's how little I care.

Holidays that celebrate commercialism are just irritating and make me hate all the people that get caught up in it and perpetuate the stupidity.

I dislike V-Day and most other holidays because they're sooo FAKE.

Why do you need society to tell you when to do things for someone you supposedly love or care about? If you truly adore them, you'd do this on any day of your choosing, not Valentine's, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, any of that crap.

On top of that, people are so unoriginal.

Flowers, cards they didn't right, stuffed animals, jewelry, chocolate.
    BORING.

If you're going to do it at the very least you could break free from what everyone else is doing and come up with something on your own.

meh. I can take it or leave it, but I'm not gonna make a big deal about it.

I call it February 13B. I worked in restaurants and hotels (sometimes simultaneously) for 6 years. It's a commercial day designed to get men into trouble. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a woman get mad at a man for getting the "wrong" gift, or the room didn't have a big enough jacuzzi, or she really wanted a different restaurant even though he was trying his damndest to surprise her.

And women expect spontaneity on a "holiday" where everyone else is doing and expecting the exact. same. thing. True romance should be spontaneous when it's, y'know, not expected.

That being said, I also don't celebrate Steak and BJ Day in order to be fair to both parties.

I don't have a boyfriend to share this day with so therefore I could care less about it.

Do you mean you couldn't care less? If you could care less then that means you do care...
