    Dealing with your enthusiasm

ENTPs! Do you guys like me have trouble dealing with your enthusiasm?
I have loads of it, almost infinite amounts but I struggle to control it. Often people get annoyed with it and a lot of the time I throw myself at projects so much that when they fall through - despite my best attempts to stop them doing so - it's really depressing.

Any other ENTPs have these problems? And has anyone found a solution?

Most people would envy you, because that kind of enthusiam is rare! Maybe your problem's more of a lack of defined, sustained focus. I don't know if it'll work for you, but what I successfully do is use my Ne to come up with things that a task will accomplish or help me to accomplish. Kind of like setting off a domino effect.

In effect, you'll realize that you're not just doing "one thing" - you're multitasking and being efficient, which all ENTPs love.

I usually wait to start a project to see if I still like it. I also will tell my friends or people what it is so I have to follow through. I just committed to choreographing a piece for a May dance festival now I am worried I can't finish it, but I will cause I have to. Also the multi-tasking thing helps. I wanted to write a short novel and now have 11 different documents of different beginnings. When I get bored of one I make myself work on another good luck :)

most people i know find it charming and appreciate it because it also inspires them. even some of my most reserved friends love surprising me with things they know will result in my 2 minute happy dance followed by a flurry of ideas on how we can expand upon what they did.
