Um, you get over yourself? For all you know, the "stupid people" may not be as stupid as you think. Mentally, you may actually be their bitch.

Mess with 'em.

Or limit conversation with them to close to none. I'm in partial customer service, so I have to deal with them on a daily basis. I have a routine set of questions, and if they're idiots, I just stick to that and don't chat. Usually have to repeat things because they're not paying attention or just being dumbfucks.

I've found that I'm actually pretty bad at hiding when I think someone's an imbecile.

Oooh - and it's tough work keeping level headed when you just want to fucking punch a bitch in the face.

Also, God, with the utmost respect, I must counter that ENTPs have a knack for picking out the REALLY idiotic people from a crowd. I'm guessing our friend, the happy pessimist was primarily referring to those which we actually know are stupid (to our standards ["those who we consider stupid"]), not those individuals who are borderline.

meh. :)

How do I view them?

I look down on those who I perceive to be really stupid. I can respect someone who does alot of "idiotic" things but has they're shit together. One of my best friends is ISTJ and he rarely dominates me in a debate and I disagree with him in ALOT of his ways thinking. But he's responsible and has his life together and I can respect that and i've never really labeled him as stupid and meant it....which is odd.

What do I do about them?

I lay on the Fe for those who I know can't handle hearing the truth or those that I know just want to hear someone agree with them. I bite my tongue and say "yeah" "uh-huh" and whatever else. But I largely start to avoid them so that I stay far away from their nonsense. No use in wasting my time.....they will also be bitched about later to someone else hahaha.

hmm I think "stupid" should be defined. Sounds odd, I know.

Personally, I don't necessarily consider someone who does non-thought-through things to be stupid, nor someone who can't argue. Some people are just slower on comprehension, but that doesn't make them dense. Some people have problems with their memories, which can make them appear to be stupid because of constant repetition.

An individual will lose all respect from me, however, if they are entirely materialistic, or completely close-minded, or do not back up their opinions with logic, or will not accept that they are wrong if they have been shown their belief is based on fallacy, or people who throw themselves into a group and follow the opinions/beliefs of the group and don't think on their own, or people who radically support minorities they're not a part of and end up hurting their cause but don't see that they are because they're too dense to.

Yeah there are a lot of reasons I would lose respect for people, but no, I don't consider everyone to be "stupid" there are just a lot of people I'd rather not associate with.

I'm an extrovert, but I also hate people. Go figure.

There are no stupid people - there are only people who have the power to do things that you want to get done who have not yet understood that your way of doing is the best way and thus they need to be explained and shown and persuaded into it, and then there is everybody else :p

ok this is a lie.

There are stupid people. One just has to know when people are actually stupid v.s when one is just being arrogant.
@op
It should be understood that what is obvious to is invisible to others.
Ne is akin to being able to see around corners. It's rare but it causes you to miss what may be right in front of you.
Tone down the arrogance (ha, I'm a hypocrite!) and try to understand where people are coming from.

There are people who are slow to comprehend, those that are weak in certain areas, those that have mental disabilities, those that can be annoying at times, and those that believe in something weird because its "tradition" or whatever. None of that is stupid to me. What I classify as stupid, and I'm sure most of you do, is something only the following video can truly describe:

That video almost sounds like some kind of parody of the Tea Party Movement. (provided by the Sugar Bowl Movement? ;-P)

Or maybe she doesn't know about light refraction or whatever the physics causes that to happen. Although I wouldn't be so outspoken about something I don't know because I hadn't bothered to research it.

I don't like to think most people are stupid, but wrong or wrongheaded because of their very different mentalities. It can get very annoying when someone is doing things so, well, stupidly, because of their mindsets, but I just work around them or subtly guide them into doing the right thing.

Thinking the whole world is stupid is a bitter feeling and it can hold me back. I like to lead through excellence rather than nip at people with certain limitations or completely different thought paths.

@Revolution - LMFAO. That is all.

and if we use that video as a definition of "stupid people" then - I deal with stupid people by finding the humor in what they are saying (and try not to get too depressed that they whole-heartedly believe what they are saying).

(god that was hilarious. Still laughing)

Yes, and try to hide your contempt.

Ugh, people that have a history of illogical actions are by far the worst. I especially hate when I just start hanging out with someone and at first I think they're great and then they start showing a pattern of ridiculous decisions or they rant about things they should have full control over or whatever...it's a real turn off and i'm not even trying to be arrogant or anything. It just makes me lose interest in a person almost instantly.

I work in customer support and I just try to remember: not everybody has had the opportunity to grow up with this shit. What frustrates me is when I try to give people directions and they don't follow them but go wandering off clicking on things trying to figure it out for themselves.

The other major frustration is people who call in just to abuse the ear on the other end of the phone. These are sadistic fucks and they deserve to be tormented. I make a clear distinction between people who are just frustrated because they've been trying to figure it out for an hour before they called and those who just want to unload their baggage on you. The people who genuinely want help can be talked down. I usually use something like, "Okay, well what you've told me so far is giving me some ideas about what we can try but rest assured... we'll figure this out."

The evil ones just want to hurl insults to you and your company without putting forth any effort to resolve the issue. They then proceed to make obnoxious demands, like "You need to send someone else out here to look at it and fix it." or "You sold me the router and now it's dead and you expect me to BUY a new one?" and one of my all-time favorites, "It was your Internet that brought the virus in, I expect you to remove it."

bitches.

God stupid people never cease the entertain me, especially when they're talking about something they know nothign about. Usually I don't waste my time on them. They could conjour the most long-winded 'i'm talking out of my ass' answer, and i'll respond with a 'haha, no.'
