    Signs an ENTP likes you

I met this entp recently - we clicked online and we met briefly in person before he headed overseas for work. It was all very whirlwind. I am an Xnfp. I don't even know if this is such a solid pairing as *cough* guys/ladies you can sometimes be a little narcisstic - but he rattled my cage and has definitely kept me intrigued. I am not sure if I can reciprocate. Two questions: 1) from your experiences do you think this is a good match and 2) what signs/behaviors do you exude when you really like someone as opposed to just flirting and flinging about - does this change if you become vulnerable?

    INFP - The Idealists

GrayZone, I think an intimate relationship between an ENTP and XNFP in general is a bad idea. I think the XNFP would just get mangled. It might have a chance if the T and F in the respective people are not too strong.

Thanks Java Monkey - my intuition is telling me I might get mangled. From other sites/forums I have read that infj or isfp would complement an entp - but I the isfp less able to endure theoretical arguments and the infj too introverted perhaps?? Either way - I am still curious what the behaviors are of an entp that is smitten...

    Unknown Personality

Being a female ENTP, at least three traits are important to me in friendships/SOs: the ability to spend large amounts of time discussing possibilities and/or theories, to be logical when necessary, and to laugh about all manner of things. I don't know if I'm a typical ENTP, though, having just realized I'm an E rather than I.

A good forum friend is INFP and we get along together great most of the time - I value her F, she values my T - but there are times when she bases her decisions on what feels best rather than on what I consider IS best and I have to back off rather than try to take over and set her straight.

For me, at least, XNFP friends are great, but I don't think it would work out for an SO relationship...I'd be trying to take over the decision making since I have a strong T. I'd need someone strong enough to set ME straight if that happened, lol.

Anything can be worked out, though, if both people are willing.

    ENTP - The Visionaries

    From Wikiksocion:

Mirage relations (also known as Illusionary relations), like semi-duality, are similar to duality in that many of each partners' functions directly correspond to the unconscious expectations of the other. In relations of semi-duality partners' odd-numbered functions match those of the other person's dual, while in mirage it is the even-numbered functions. That is, partners' use of their 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th functions more or less meets the other's expectations, while the rest are the opposite of what is expected for comfortable interaction. In practice this translates to a perception that the other person can be useful in solving practical issues that arise, but partners do not find each other fascinating — as they do duals or semi-duals — due to an absence of suggestion through their 5th function.
And apparently ILE(ENTP) and IEI(INFP) have this relation to eachother. I'm not sure if I know an infp myself so I can't tell you anything certain from personal experience... You'll adapt if it gets serious

    INTP - The Thinkers

Personally, I do not think this is a good match...unless the ENTP can handle a feeler type. It just depends on how much a feeler type you are. If you have only a small amount more feeling than thinking, it might work out...but if you are extremely sensitive, just stay away. Entps tend to pick on their partners (with love). I mean, right now I go in between calling my boyfriend a little fucker and a dumbass...but he's an INTJ so he can handle it.

Oh and we're not always narcisstic.....

and about the flirting...a lot of times it can just be annoying. Just don't put yourself too out there for him...its a turn off, just because you do not seem like a challenge.
Is he flirting back? If he is, he's probably picking out you some, poking you, or calling you cute or something.

:/ Oh God.... I'm going to have to explain this fully aren't I. (Punches Self in face) Why did I do that? It's called lack of concentration, and for me to write this I'm going to need tons of it.... I'm going to post this so you know I'm working on it. I don't know when it will be posted. Maybe tonight, Maybe tomorrow, but I'm working on it.

This will include the signs you ask to, plus why it won't work.

When they start touching you inappropriately, that is when you know an ENTP likes you.
