Communications = perfect ENTP major?

I'm still set on doing business, but Communications is grabbing my interests. I might substitute it as my minor instead of microeconomics, or double major with it and keep economics. My dad's friend suggested I look into it, and after about 20 websites offering descriptions I still had no idea what it was. Then I found this:

It sounds like everything I, and ENTP's in general, would love. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the author was an ENTP himself from his writing and what he apparently does as a Communications major. Making random stuff sound smart an intelligent? Do it all the time. Synthesizing answers to complex questions and subjects on the spot? It's a hobby. And so on. What are your guy's thoughts? There is a risk to it as it's not an easily marketable major, but hell the entire point is to learn (or perfect) how to pitch stuff to people. I don't think it would be a major problem for a strong willed ENTP. If I majored in it, and minored in Business it seems like college will be hella easy. If I invert that it will be slightly more difficult, and I won't have the full Communications experience. If I double major in Business and Communications and minor in microeconomics, I'll have one hell of a portfolio and marketable skill set, but with alot more work. Decisions decisions decisions...

My personal opinion is that Communications is kind of a bullshit major. Although there always seemed to be an inordinate amount of good-looking women who were Communications majors. And if you want college to be easy like you said then go for it. Plus you don't have to make a decision right now. Just take a few classes and see how you like it. It would be foolish to base a decision otherwise.

If you want to spend time around the majority of the retards at your university, you will love it. Every person I know who is in communications couldn't cut it in anything else. They also aren't working in communications since the job market is so saturated. You might be able to secure yourself a 2 year internship unpaid wherein you might be hired at the end of it. That's how you make it in the industry. If you're thinking about getting something useless with which you won't be able to get a job, pick something that will make college more enjoyable.

Lol, good input. It can't hurt to double major with it though, and it doesn't seem like it would even add alot to my work load.

But besides practicality and job finding, does it not seem to be designed for ENTPs? Sure any idiot can do it, but to me it seems we would naturally be the best suited for it.

I think Design is the perfect major for ENTPs - it's inventive, creative, involves a lot of communication and peer interaction, and allows lots of opportunities for showing off, as well as opportunities for slacking and procrastinating (as you're usually working in a studio or computer lab). It's also project based and has very few exams, so we don't have to worry about committing to hours of study. It's basically just inventing something new and creative every couple of weeks, then selling the idea, which is what we're supposed to be stereotypically best at.

haha...truest statement so far. I took one Communications class and felt a few people should've worn helmets and the room should've had a padded wall.

The best they could shoot for is being a MC at the local strip club....and that's if they're lucky.
