This is a discussion on You know you're an ENTP when within the ENTP Forum- The Visionaries forums, part of the NT's Temperament Forum- The Intellects category; ...
. . . .playing chess is something you think you should do but you generally hate when you attempt it.
Me? I've faced someone using my tactics on me that failed. I remain apathetic and that pisses him off. I'm a very "Sun Tzu" type of guy when it comes to the real world.
Though that won't work on me. Here is something that just might, depending on my mood. If you're arguing with me just randomly stop in the middle of the argument. Drop it completely and block all my attempts to bring it back up. I once read something that is very true for me:
"Most times, I think ENTPs fear not the loss of the audience, but being invisible. Fear of abandonment in a way - a rejection of their ideas, which is what they are, is akin to a rejection of them"
You may enjoy this book if you haven't read it already then: Amazon.com: The 33 Strategies of War (9780670034574): Robert Greene: Books

To be honest, I think this would piss anyone off. I was on a debate team for about a year in high school- bitches did this all the time ::seething rage::Though that won't work on me. Here is something that just might, depending on my mood. If you're arguing with me just randomly stop in the middle of the argument. Drop it completely and block all my attempts to bring it back up.

:] I'll definitely buy it when I get some money coming in.
:D As I said it hurts me deeper because I don't like my ideas being rejected right off the bat without giving them a chance to grow or even a chance to argue why they should grow.
i played chess with sun tzu once...he was pretty good. the guy fuckin sucks at poker tho.
ENTJs, what can you say? They don't have very good poker faces but they're masters of organization.
