    Did this ENTP lose interest?

Was hanging out with an ENTP for 2 months or so. We admitted to liking each other but I was always more reserved than him when it came to expressing my feelings. I wanted to keep the chase going and knew he'd lose interest if I laid it all out.

Out of the blue he has stopped texting me. Completely ignored the last text I sent over a month ago. Why has he not sent as much as a friendly text? I know he's alive. Is it common for ENTP's to cut ties like that, and for what reason? I thought we had something good.

    Yup.

As for the whole reason thing, something along the lines of "damn commitment, you scary!" fits in there nicely somewhere.

Short answer is "yes it is common for ENTPs to cut ties"

There are about 1 billion reasons why, some of them are completely unrelated to any feelings. So one time, a friend of mine texted me. I looked it at, set my phone down, got distracted, looked up something else on my phone, and completely forgot I never responded. Oh also, by one time, I mean like 100000000 times. I actually do that more than respond to texts.

Other reasons include getting bored, testing to see what you'd do, and anything in between!

That's unfortunate. Have you not texted him since? Personally, I at least reply to somebody I haven't talked to in a while.

    Huh.
I may have just done the same thing to a girl a two weeks ago.
    ....Oh well!

To be fair, she also hasn't tried to reach me. So it's not all my fault.

Hmm. I guess I'll just have to accept it as one of those courtships where one person all of a sudden stops talking to the other because of some rational reason that only they know. Disappointed.

I'm sure if I texted him again he would at least respond, but now the ball is in his court and I'm going to absolutely be stubborn about it.

From what I've read, this seems pretty par for the course for ENTPs. Something shiny catches their eye and they forgot they never responded. And their brain is just chaotic and you'll never really know why they do the things they do, and sometimes I wonder if they know why they do the things they do.

If you're disappointed with that kind of interaction, why would you want to pursue the relationship further?

I guess I failed to mention I do not want to pursue the relationship further. I realized he is a little too immature for me. It's just nice to have closure. I honestly thought I might have been too good for him and he should be at his knees :embarrassed:

I had six dates for a festival this last weekend. I was planning on a morning, afternoon, and night shift, and then I was gonna just save that last day to pick up random chicks .... then I got interested in a shiny new girl that I started hanging out with RIGHT before the weekend .... so I took her and ignored all the texts from all the other girls for the rest of the weekend.

Shiny new things do fascinate us. Stubborn games, however, make us run a P 'n L report in our head and most of the time we decide it's not worth the effort and we move on.

Ah ic. So there's nothing a girl can do to keep an entp guy engaged besides being someone else?
