Who of you would avoid a party if you think there would be too much drama? Or would you go because you're curious more than anything, although part of you would rather sit home and watch sci-fi, because you are tired and may not even have fun? You know that, but you still know you're going to go, becuase you would rather torture yourself than miss out observing what these silly people are going to do?

What is the average ENTP do, avoid weirdness, or confront it head on for kicks? I'd say the latter, more often. But assume that the ENTP is assuming that he wont have all that much fun

Parties are rarely intellectually satisfying, however I naturally want to meet new people. Usually, I don't go to a party with high expectations and I just try to have an awesome time. Occasionally, I meet interesting people and have a drunken discussion about philosophy or psychology.

I do enjoy most drinking games and making fun of the drunks. I don't believe I try to put on a mask or act "normal" in the slightest.

I've avoided parties when they haven't really seemed to be a good use of my time.

I'd totally choose sci-fi over a party depending on the circumstances. I've never really depended on other people to have a good time. If it's a random party with regular people thrown in? Well... A regular ol' person is generally pretty vapid, and uninformed. Talking to these people is absolutely beneath my level of intellect, and I scoff at them when they look at me incredulously at my attempt to talk about things beyond the realm of booze and ignorant-people-ness.

I usually hate going because of exactly what the op mentions. Once there I find all kinds of interesting people and discussion, or at least open doors to it, then I typically don't want to leave. On the rare occasions when it is just meh then I opt out for something better after paying my dues.

I don't go to those shitty parties lol. Drama is not what I'm looking for when I go to a party... UNLESS a stupid girl is going to piss in the crisper drawer because she's taken too many goofinalls. Unfortunately I don't know about those things ahead of time.

Seriously though, if I didn't like the kids I wouldn't go.

Well, at least from this thread I got the new (to me) idiom "piss in a crisper", so there's that.

But really, I don't know what people mean by "drama". If it's not directly concerning me, it sounds like some good spectator sport. If it might potentially concern me, I might go anyway, but the SciFi might look like the better deal. Especially if it involves conflicts between baby-mommas and main squeezes.

I avoid drama. I find it annoying, negative and boring. I'm happy to sit home and indulge in si-fi over being out and feeling like bashing my head against a wall because of other people's shit. But there's always a way to find/create fun when in an annoying, negative or boring situation.

You know its funny, after posting this, going to the party, then reading these posts, I realize its the anticipation that was more drama...i expected there to be some, and there wasn't. In fact, girls i thought would dog me actually were really nice. made cool with someone. It was good. You never can tell.
