Staying unbored in school (which i'm in right now)

Any tips for staying unbored in school? haha i'm sitting here typing on a blog for my english class and am bored like crazy. and since most people posting on this forum are enfp you probably share some of the same ideas for me as to what is fun and what is not. also on a relationship note, how do you think a relationship with an ENTP would work out, by the way i'm an ENFP. cause i have a strong feeling towards her and i'm not entirely sure what it is, i just love being around her, she's also spontaneous like me and just lots of fun.

Well....I personally found that it was a good idea to hold off a year or two before going to school so I felt like it was on my own terms and not just something I *had* to do. Obviously, it's a little too late for that since you're already in school... lol. It may help to make homework into something social - either find yourself a study buddy who has the same class to work with during free time....or if you have a close friend who doesn't mind you just talking through things (the ENFP learning style kind of leans toward teaching - if you can explain it to someone else, it usually sticks pretty well).

Any relationship can work out - it's not so much type as individual: your personal preferences and hers. ENTPs are fun because they share the same dominant function as ENFPs. We speak on the same wavelength and it's usually high energy. If you feel inclined, ask her out. Worst thing that happens is she says no.

Welcome to the forum:) stick around for awhile, I love to meet people on here

Personally, I don't like ENTP's too much, but @Ace Face is dating one, and she loves him, so I'm sure she'll tell you all about it

I think my love for ENTPs has a lot more to do with my enneagram. Other type 7s (moreso 7w8s for me) give me the feeling of being completely understood. It's almost like a soul mate connection--they just get me :) It's nice to be accepted as I am and to not have to put a filter on my personality so as not to offend anybody. That's ultimately what I'm looking for in a relationship--acceptance, friendship, and fun :) It just so happens that 7 is a common enneatype amongst ENTPs, and 7w8 happens to be the type of the ENTPs I'm closest to :P

RE: school, what I'd recommend is really getting to know your teachers -- staying after class, talking to them about their lives, etc. When you have a personal connection to your teachers, you'll care more about doing well in their classes, and your teachers will care more about checking in and making sure things are interesting for you.

I'm dating an ENTP. For you, it could be great or terrible. It depends what you're looking for. If you like her, start getting to know her -- dip a toe in the water and see how it feels.

I completely agree with chimeric on the school part. I *neeeeeed* to like my teachers to even begin to be interested in their class. Once you make it personal, than as an ENFP you will most likely put all your effort into pleasing this person who you care about now, which is the teacher. :P I trick myself in this way and it for sure has worked for me. And if you need help motivating yourself, I would suggest showing people the stuff you are doing in your classes so that you feel validated by your work and get excited to keep doing it now that other people find it interesting. Good luck!

Haha i already know most of my teachers more than any other students lol. she's really fun and talking with her is always exciting because of the enthusiasm we both share, only thing is it seems like her interest in me changes from day to day, that's where i get aggravated. one day she'll be talking to me a lot then the next day we don't talk at all. haha it's confusing >.<

haha i know what you mean about not hindering your personality. i'm always energetic and can never keep my min don the same thing for long when i'm with friends. haha most times i think they can't keep up and get annoyed. and just a few days ago this is what one of my goo friends told me lol "you act like your on ecstasy all the time" now seeing as how neither of us know what it feels like lol he was probably exaggerating a little bit.
