I don't get sick very often, but when I do, I just pretend I'm not. If people try to take care of me I shoo them away to try and show what a badass I am.I once tried to go to school with a fever of well over 100 degrees, but my Mom wouldn't let me.

@MyName See see see! You are just infinitely cute![]()
When I was younger and got to stay home from school:
Stayed in bed. Watched The Price is Right (with Bob Barker and the weird chopstick microphone, not the weird new Drew Carey version. This was the 90s in all its glory.) Moaned for my mom to bring me orange juice. Daydreamed all day. Read lots of books. Did not move.
Now that I am older and have real responsibilities that being sick don't exempt me from:
Notice I am getting sick. Ignore it. Go, go, go all day, as usual. Pretend I am not getting sick. Wake up the next morning and feel as if I am on the verge of death. Dramatically claim that I'm dying and force my roommates to wait on me hand and foot for two days. Email my professors and bosses and tell them I can't come to class/work that day because I have contracted a rare African infection. After a couple of days, bounce right back and confuse everyone when I return to my duties and do not seem as if I was ever ill at all.
I love being sick! ^_^
- being sick means it's time for an extra long bath, that means busting out the bath salts, exfoliating creams, foot scrubs, etc
- take extra time to get dressed and look really sexy (I give MORE attention to my appearance when not in public, not less lol)
- lots of tea (more than usual). depending on what I'm down with will determine the types of tea/herbal tisanes I drink
1) always: 1-3 cups of green tea or white tea
2) for cold: echinacea, mint tea or something with high vitamin C content like hibiscus or lime tea (lime tea is awesome, but numi is the only company I know of that produces it
3) for bronchitis: blue mallow tea and/or all of the above for cold
4) influenza: blue mallow, white tea, mint tea
- wrap myself in a bunch of blankets
- movies, anime and/or documentaries
- generally I'll do a a little bit of light exercise, maybe a few push ups, to relieve muscle soreness
- up my dosage of vitamin C
- increase vegetable to meat ration (the only part I don't like)
@viva 3 and 4 influences are SOO evident in your last post![]()
I'm still poorly...in bed. I'm... B.O.R.E.D
These are my current thoughts:
A- I wish my face ACTUALLY did turn green when I was sick
B- I'm imagining all the little white blood cell dudes fighting off the evil germs inside my body
C- I WANT SYMPATHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
