I've dated, lived with, and was engaged to an ENFP. It never got boring. We don't read each other's minds. But we do know "what's best" for each other. Also, I think two ENFPs "ground" each other. We both have to be the responsible adult and look out for the world.

I can read minds regardless of who I date, it's one of my many special qualities :).

But replying to the threeead, I'm not really sure :O. I think if I was to go out with another ENFP it would be amazing cause we would totally get each other :) but maybe weird because we might get each other a little too much. But I meam just because you're the same personality type dosen't mean you would be totally in sync :o I guess I'll need to try :D -goes on a search-

    Edit:
The awkward moment when you realise you've already replied to this thread and you've basically said the same thing...

maybe its because I usually do not pretend feeling somethink diferent, or thinking somethink diferent that I actually do....so obviously its easy to read me.)...well not for all of everyone....sometimes happeneds to me that I am so obvious that people just cannt believe that I might actually experience that...people are just to much used to pretending...

Sorry, bumping old thread, oh what a sin.

    On track:

My new bf is an ENFP and I'm an ENFP when I'm not being an INFP ;)

We recently tried a little telepathic game... I'd said that sometimes when I look into his eyes, it's almost as though I can "read" him, so we just spontaneously started guessing what the other was thinking while looking into eachother's eyes.

    It failed. Terribly.

Then I suggested closing our eyes.

I kid you not - it went so well that it was scary. I don't mean tonnes of guessing; I mean proper scary stuff.

Example: I was thinking of a shell I use sometimes to burn sage for cleansing rooms etc, and he immediately said "grey", then "it's plastic or shiny", then "it's for heating something, I see fire" (I KNOW RIGHT?!). Then for shits and giggles I thought I'd float the shell in some water (in my mind) and imagine us holding hands standing over it, maybe to make the image more "connected" in some way.

"Is it for cooking? I suddenly saw someone standing over it. Oh and I see steam? Water? Something. I don't know."

:O <---- my face when he said that.

Very scary. Half the time I don't have to finish sentences or jokes. He gets everything. :)

you probably had a great feeling of intimacy and both felt understood and loved wich made you feel more connected .

Me and my current partner are both ENFP, and it is beautiful. We can read each other like a text message and it really makes the relationship that much better imho

I have never dated an ENFP guy but I was friends with one once.

He was very tall, broad shouldered, handsome and extremely pleasant company. Having him around made me feel this warm calm within though I never felt as though we could read each others minds exactly. I don't have contact with him anymore but he was one of the nicest people I have ever met.

It's a great match, but it's best if both are adults.. Because with ENFPs it's easy for both sides to learn everything about eachother in a month, because they are so open.. (Or with some of us, more like a week)..
Anywhooo, after that, telepathy is great.. Because you want to spend time together, even if you aren't talking all of the time.
ENFPs are often very physical, so cuddling and hugging and all of that jazz... That's where it goes next.
And it probably wouldn't be too long before you'd realize that you either have to break up, or step up to the final level..
Because ENFPs want thing to continue to improve and expand.

I think that is a very wise value. In my view, thinking that you can read minds entails the risk that you start implying and stop communicating. I had that problem with a previous ENFP playmate. He told me he could read "my energy", but he was wrong more than 50% of the time. I'm too lazy to pretend, but he continiously misinterpreted me. He would tell me I was stressed, had a crush on him or even that I had an orgasm, when I was/had not. If I told him he was wrong, he would not believe me. After all, as an ENFP, he had the capacity to "feel my energy", so I was either lying or I did not understood my own feelings. This annoyed me so much that I decided to end things with him.
I must say that also I find it sometimes diffecult to believe that my intuition has misled me. But I try to watch out not to do the same thing. We ENFP's might be highly empathic, but we make mistakes like anyone. Keep checking with the other person.
