ENFP women- the only type which..

There is a general rule with women- particularly attractive women.. which goes like this-
every time a woman says they like "this and this" a quality, e.g. "i like guys who are funny, nice, polite, humble, etc." they mean they want a guy who's strong and ______ "insert their adjective"- they want someone who is in control and confident. even attractive INFP/INFJs, very moralistic, will search out a guy who is confident and sensitive, nice, intelligent, etc.

the only type i've found this NOT usually to be true for is ENFPs- ENFP women, no matter how attractive, will prefer INFJs, INTJs, INTPs, etc. who are quiet and often a little geeky. just purely coming from a curiosity angle i want to gain some insight into this-

i mean, i'm the same, i tend to go for introverts, but i'm a guy- and introverts can still be cute. most women are attracted to confidence and social proof over looks.

I dunno; I do like more introverted guys who seem.. different from the rest. I can find a way to like just about anybody and get along with them, and they'll get along with me too; but once someone proves a little more difficult to get to know, the challenge of it draws my attention. Plus, I'm not sure how other people can miss it, but there definitely is a charm there that reels me in. It may not be in the traditional sense of the word, but it definitely charms me one way or another.

    So Quick Question...

Are you implying that INTJs aren't strong?

Ohoh! There's the flaw in your perspective. A strong, powerful brain will win us over much faster than any brute force.

not sure if you're joking but just to cover myself- by strength i meant confidence and assertiveness rather than actual force..

Haha a masculine brain is definitely stronger than a masculine body. But a smart guy with a hot bod definitely helps. Although, my mission is to find a really attractive intj and marry him. (not a mission but I'll see) I know some attractive intps that cover up their geekyness, but yeah...
    Intps are super attractive (:
I'm guessing I do like geeky guys... My Intp friend questioned this the other day, and I told him we have more to talk about and everything probably makes more sense. Also, I've never really dated geeks... The only geek I dated was my enfp ex. So this idea of intjs/infj is fairly new.

I generally go for geeky guys, but I need them to be confident in themselves or I find I can't stay with them. I don't get on well with men who need my reassurance all the time (don't have the time for it!) I don't care about physical appearance so long as they're clean and neat (as in, wash often and don't wear ripped/old clothing). So long as the guy suits his looks then I don't care if he's scrawny or overweight or has crooked teeth etc (am I too lenient? XD)

I find this to be a very interesting topic. It's kinda like the gangley nerd/geek that gets the hot girl. (except the ENFP girl has brains, too) But @Tridentus, what is your take on the flip-side? ENFP guys attraction?

I learned recently that I really like introverts, they seem to be more... like someone else said earlier: different. And another thing I like about them is they seem more sensitive and caring. I prefer someone who is usually quiet around everyone, but when they get to know you really well, they'll talk a lot.
Being with someone who is so overconfident that it's reached the point of being just plain conceited so horribly annoying, and when they're too social they end up not as caring I find. I'll be talking and they'll see someone they recognize or a friend, and they'll just run off while I'm mid sentence... leaving me like this: :l.

Eh. I love smart guys, but I don't go for quiet guys, generally. I'm not saying that it would never work, just that when I think about the guys I have been attracted to in the past, the majority have been fairly loud, very confident, and pretty take-charge. They're also kind, funny, thoughtful, often have 'geeky' interests, etc, but that confidence and assertiveness is really very attractive to me.

I think it's because I like to argue and be bossy, and I need someone who isn't going to take all of my BS. I fight to have all the power in a relationship, but I really hate when I actually end up with it. I like guys who are in control enough to balance that out. Also, I've had really uncomfortable relationships in the past where the guy ends up relying on me to survive socially. I don't like that at all. I need to be on a pretty equal level with my SO in terms of general social skills, or it just gets uncomfortable and stressful.

Not that there aren't wonderful quiet guys out there. There are. Some of them are wonderful friends to me. Some of them are wonderful husbands and SOs to my dear friends. I really just don't tend to prefer them over their more extroverted brothers.

    Edit:
I liken this much more to an outgoing/shy divide than an extrovert/introvert divide. There are outgoing introverts and shy extroverts. I'm more attracted to outgoing guys - whether they are ISTJs or ENTPs or INTPs. I think that's what I meant to say originally.
