2pac is actually a contradictory character. For every uplifting song I can name one that is degrading, hedonistic and relishes in negativity.

Here is the thing, the content switches, but what remains is the method of expression, which seems Se (literal, vivid, linear, and lacking in symbolism). I have yet to see a solid argument for Ne use. That he is positive (sometimes!) doesn’t automatically make him an NF (which is a false dichotomy anyway. ENFPs will have more in common with ESFPs than ENFJs since they share more functions).

It's funny you mention those types because I am ENFP, my Sisters are ENFJ and ESFP. We all understand each other and have things in common, but are also very different. Here's my breakdown on what we would each rap about if given the chance... (not based on type, based on our individual personalities)...

ESFP sister would rap about material things and positive, angry, or funny feelings, but not really personal feelings (Gucci handbag, her car, jewelry, enjoying life, beautiful day, feeling happy, etc.).

ENFJ sister would rap about feelings and Lady Gaga type lyrics (love, heartbreak, betrayal, "just dance it'll be ok!" type stuff, etc.)

And I would rap about feelings and living your life, changing yourself, keeping strong, staying positive, overcoming obstacles, etc.

I'm not saying this is how all ESFP, ENFJ, and ENFP's are, only myself and my Sisters.

Oh and as far as Tupac's negative lyrics, a lot of it was gang related stuff and I think he was just influenced by the environment he grew up in.

I think of someone like Nelly being an ESFP, but I could be wrong, again I'm a beginner :)
