Tell me what ENFP stereotypes you have heard of. This is in no way an attack on ENFP's. This thread just gives awareness to the stereotypes of the ENFP personality.

Here is my list of ENFP stereotypes..

1.) Manipulators
2.) Suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder
3.) Players
4.) Obnoxious
5.) Constant Mood Swings
6.) Narcissistic
7.) Can't take criticisms
8.) Can't stand being disliked or hated
9.) Cheaters
10.) Attention whore

2.) Suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder Been diagnosed and all that jazz

4.) Obnoxious I like to think I'm not

7.) Can't take criticisms I can take it- if it's constructive

8.) Can't stand being disliked or hated It would be nice to say I don't give a shit about what other people
think about me but in all honesty I despise it when someone dislikes me, whether it's justified or not.

9.) Cheaters Disagree. I'm very loyal.

10.) Attention whore Erm....yep.

How do you stereotypically visually image an ENFP

I thought this would be a fun and interesting thread. How do you stereotypically visually image an ENFP?

For me, I would have to say big eyes and smile. Sort of like Dee Dee from Dexters laboratory.

I was watching Yes man earlier so I wanna put Zooey Deschanel's character Allison!:

I just now realized that I put Emily Deschanel's character, Dr. Brennan as the image for INTJs haha
Ya she does look like an ENFP.

For males, I'll go for Will Smith.

Lemme see...when I think ENFP, I think of someone who has a sense of wonder in their eyes as if they're constantly taking in all of the world with every glance and turn and step and always sees a different view...Someone who knows what's out in the world and wants it...someone who you can tell wants adventure!

I've said it before, but it bears repeating because no one has mentioned it in this thread.

My visual image of an ENFP is Serena from Sailor Moon:

Ok Douglas.. You just made my day..My most absolute fav childhood show..I was a little too obsessed I think i blame Serena for my school failures hehe she was my role model..I have to say, this show is definitely catered to NFs and NTs don't you think?

i've known two ENFP girls and both of them were craziness  thing is, enfp girls are all "whoop!" with the big excited eyes but they're very different at the same time. one of them would just be superfriendly and be all like Oh My GODDDD!! and sit on your shoulders (she could be quite manipulative though), wheras the other just had this airyness about her, makes me laugh just thinking about it  and she'd constantly be asking really random questions taken from her random pondering about life in her enfpland ..

me and my enfp guy friend are very different. we both have a silly switch and have some great laughs about the most random things.. but we tone down the crazy a bit. "wit and a smile" is guy enfps
although looking back i used to be a LOT crazier with the right accomplices:wink:. i think the turning point for guys is when we start noticing girls, and start realising it isn't so attractive for guys to be being too childish and random.

i have to disagree there. i love childish random guys. that's what i love about guys actually is they are so much more of a laugh than girls (generally speaking) don't change who u are for some boring young one with no sense of humour. sex just ruins everything doesn't it!

It seems the stereotype of an ENFP is what one would usually see in an ESFP.

Deedee for example, totally ESFP.

Clementine, as awesome as she is, is officially ESFP I think and I agree.

Tyler Durden, and god do I love him, is more along the line of ENTP I think. Very possible ENFP god bad, but I'm feeling ENTP.

Overall, it seems that when people think of ENFP, their image is of someone who's actually ESFP.

Ah Aladdin. I identified with him so strongly that it was my favorite movie to watch 5 billion times as a kid.

I felt like a "Diamond in the rough", I knew I was awesome, but no one else did, so I would doubt myself, and when I got really down I'd daydream about the future and how great it would be. Like Aladdin, I felt trapped, by my specific circumstances, completely unable to do anything, trapped in a world of lies, deception, and misdirection, where being myself was terrible and I was supposed to hide from the world, just trapped.

I love that Aladdin puts on a brave face, but deep down he's an extremely kind hearted soul, he cannot take something for himself if there are others who need it more. He is willing to jump in front of danger in order to save those weaker than him, and he will take pain in their place.

Another huge thing that I identified with personally, was his feeling of being worthless, though trying very hard to prove to himself without evidence that this is not the case. "Riffraff, street rat, I don't buy that... If only they'd look closer!" He feels alone, misjudged, and unable to get a chance to shine. "Would they see a poor(I would mentally insert what I was misidentified as here, aka Stupid, mean, lazy, worthless) boy no sirree... they'd find out, there's so much more to me..."

How else would an ENFP look?

gah! I know this thread is about stereotypes, but stop thinking every ESFP is an ENFP XD.

I'm claiming Tom:

(Tom is on the left of course)

Annnd.....

well, the best example I can think of recently is from FFXIII, Vanille. Look her up, she's totally ENFP. crazy cheerful soulful deeply sad on the inside and always trying to cheer everyone up and make them look on the bright side, with intense insight into emotional health and well being.

NF characters in fiction (including movies and video games) Are usually covered with an introverted person, being kind and genuine is more commonly associated with introversion.

My Sister is a ENFP and she has that big smile and eyes. She kind of reminds of Marry from "All about Steve"! pure sweetness, trusting and awesomness! the complete opposite of my INTP hermitness :D she keeps thing interesting.
