Aren't People just the strangest things?

I was just thinking today about how weird I look. Faces are the strangest things. And then I think, people look weird. Has anyone ever thought like "Wow, look at all those little monkeys walking around, wearing clothes, driving cars," ?
Anyone else think we are weird animals running around doing things?
Bringing this back to personality, Jung says that consciousness (the functions of which are the basis for the myers-briggs types) is new in human history and that the unconscious is much older and advanced. So I guess it makes sense that we aren't very good at using all the functions. We aren't designed to.

While I wouldn't use the words "little monkeys" I do have a sort of "birds-eye view" looking at other people, and yes, I find them very fascinating. As an ENFP, the more I am around different people the more I'm able to absorb and reflect aspects of them. The ENFP is the social chameleon, according to Jungian psychology and I feel that should never be underestimated.

What I like about what I've learned from my "people-watching" is my ability to relate to almost any other personality. Jocks, nerds, the stuck-up princess, homosexuals, artists...Any group now I feel I can relate. It gives me a lot of social confidence when I meet new people, which has actually been a struggle for me in the past, though I've tried to hide it.

Yep, lol I often think about that kind of stuff. It's pretty interesting actually. We're hairless, strange looking apes that drive around and have thought up all sorts of interesting ideas. We're animals with technobabble and technology. We all think we're so damn important but really...we're just one of an uncountable number of species!

Also, not sure if anyone's noticed this before but if you look at someone a certain way... well, almost everyone can look like a dinosaur.

Why has no one posted this yet?!?!

Yeah...this is the odd-ass shit my mind wanders off to...I swear. Those things people tend to overlook. Like I posted in another thread the other day, I just randomly started thinking about how weird the Engllish language is if you try and listen to it as if you're not a native English speaker. Or whatever your native language is lmao

But yeah...it's like you're used to seeing people everyday, and then you suddenly stop and think about what they would look like to you if you were an alien from outer space or something...

And then I start thinking about all the other things that I'm just used to but would not be considered the norm in a completely different universe. I dunno, my mind is weird...

I think this Calvin and Hobbes comic suits this topic...

    *cough* Anyways! XDDD

As I walk through crowds of people, I DO often look around and wonder, "What made this physical characteristic attractive to many people? What made that physical characteristic ugly to many people? o.o" and sometimes wonder what other species would think of how we look. Actually, I quite enjoy sometimes making in imaginary documentary of human beings (like those nature shows you see on certain animals on PBS or whatever) from the point of view of aliens - "Here are a female human and male human in their natural habitat.. as you can observe here, the male is doing a flexing motion with their arm, to make it appear as if his muscles were enlarged.. whether this appeals as physically attractive or not seems to depend upon each female..." and I think it's absolutely SILLY!

I can relate. Even though I love being the center of attention, like any other ENFP, I love just standing aside and watching people...like birds. Haha :) I find people very fascinating, which is also weird because I say that like I'm not a person...? If you get what I mean. I love watching people react to things, or socializing, or just seeing people walk to the mall. I don't know why. o.o I guess it's just in our nature. Am I right? Or am I right?

    No, it's just Human. <3

I've never agreed with the concept of "We're just another species." Not talking about whether we're just another animal~ that's obvious. But in the grand scheme of things, I believe we're much, much more. Mankind shouldn't let that feed its ego, but I would want it not to give itself credit where it's due.

We have a lot more responsibility in this universe than we want to actually accept. We're strange. Yes~ and that is what makes us different despite being the same. That we can even ask these questions~ is something special to behold.
