    Free spirit?

Are all of you enfp's free spirited? Almost every enfp I know does really crazy stuff on the spurr of the moment. So many of you that I have met have this wierd way of "faith thinking"; in other words, you all tend to be very positive, not plan things, just go wherever life takes you, and just assume things are going to be alright, and rarely question things? Are all of you like this, or is this just my imagination?

We're basically the most...'perceiving' of the NPs. I think that ENTPs are also up there with us. Our Ne comes first and is our dominant function...

Thinking beforehand doesn't really do well with the way I work...I take in as I go and also make decisions as I go.
The most I could have is an extremely basic idea of a plan...but no plan!!!
I'm completely fine with and actually prefer for things to unfold as they go. That's just how our brains work. We haven't an idea how things will happen, and we enjoy that!

This is what makes us open to possibilities and whatnot. But we do question...it's just that we usually are completely taken by the possibilities...

yep. the more i just go with it the better the result. it's to do with how we see the world methinks, Ne with Si we see patterns in things and relate the same patterns to different situations. like using the manual for a particular dvd player model with your recently bought model instead of having to search online for the new dvd player's manual, but ridiculously more complicated than how i just described it then.

often if i actually do plan things or do things purposefully i don't get anywhere near as good a result as if i just wing it. i was thinking of making a thread about this kind of thing actually.. how as an ENFP i don't seem to follow the same rules as everyone else and how confusing that is. ill do it later.

I agree with all of this except for the last part.
ENFPs are curious by nature. Questioning things...or "prying" is our middle name.

Yeah I'm definitely as the thread-poster described. The one clairification is that I DO think about things...After I've done them.

The more I try (or outside forces) to put plans and such things in my life. The more stressed and less like me I feel.

Here are 2 examples: -calls friend- "yo we should hang out the weekend"
    them"ok what time?"
me"ermmmm-pause-some time after 12" them"but what would we do?"
me".... STUFF! XD trust me it will be fun."
    them"lol fine see you then"

this ends up being a wild crazy adventure. and sooo worth it

other example. the friend insist we make a detailed hour by hour plan and I feel like slamming my head against the wall the rest of the day lol

Bahahahaha yes!! This is so us! I love dragging people along with me on crazy random excursions. I've been known to randomly drastically change my hairstyle on a whim, or just pop up in the most random places...

I also wander. People know that when they travel with me that I may pop out of sight at any given moment...but all they have to do is call my name and I'll be with them in like a half a second. :D
