as truevitality said in her post "i'm always changing my values with new experiences and new understandings." the same is true for me

    1) have fun and look on the bright side no matter what.

I need to have fun, so others around me are happy and i'm giddy. When i'm giddy and happy in public i get less whiny and cane do schoolwork n stuff much more efficiently.

    2) dont be part of the system

be different in any way you can. You listen to a band nobody knows get a t-shirt and be different. Somebody doesnt like a kid because he's weird, be different and sit by him at lunch. A teacher wants you to do something a certain way, be different mix it up. I pretty much strive to be different.

    3) respect everyone who respects you (golden rule)

i have others but these are the most dominant.
i can on aboard with your values, too

The only value that I can say hasn't changed or faltered much is my avoidance of judgement of other people. My brain just doesn't automatically do it. I consider all angles and my OWN skeletons before I take the moral high-ground.

If someone has attacked me personally, of course that's different ... but to stand in any kind of superior position to anyone because I feel my way is better? More acceptable? Never. I may laugh, but at the end of the day it doesn't affect my life or my general mood if someone does something I WOULDN'T necessarily do. To be honest, I just don't care. Life is too short and I have my own crap to deal with in life.
I feel this is very true. Just about everything in me, and about me, is subject to change. Nothing is set in stone - change is the only constant. One thing I can offer as something I won't change on is my soul. I can appropiate for the world, but I will not die for the world when it requires me to live. I feel I was put here for a good reason, and denying my character is a waste. I value love, people, growth, individuality, originality and sincerity.

Beside that, its up in the air.

O my God! The most important thing to me is to listen to your heart and be yourself...I live y the thought that you don't have to do things the way other people do them and it's ok to break some of the rules that block your creativity and self expression...I don't mind going my own path even if it means my teachers or someone mght get after me...and I realize alot of people prefer to take common and safe paths...that's not me or pretty much any ENFP

I'm doing this in quotes :D.

"Cowardice asks the question - is it safe?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular?
Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
But Conscience asks the question - is it right?

There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor popular, nor politic; but one must take it because it is right."

I sum it up as this:
    "Death Before Dishonor"

I will always take the moral high ground, up to and including sacrificing my very life in defense of moral ideals. I will gladly endure any suffering to champion the cause of righteousness, bear any burden to allow the banner of freedom to fly, sacrifice anything of myself to see good claim victory over evil in the world.

    "Don't worry, Be happy"

Our lives are lived in a bubble, how the world actually affects us is all in our minds. Because of this, we have supreme control over how our own personal world, the one we live in and how we experience things, can exist. In my opinion, there's no reason to build stress into that system, stress is one of the deadliest forces known to modern science, and when we have the power to keep it out of our world, why let it in? Relax, take things as they come, do not try to impose your will upon the universe.

    Those are my big 2.

Wow good post. And I think it's a perfect example of what I am talking about when I say "staying true to ourselves". There really seems to be that cool common thread about being okay with going against the flow in order to stick up for a cause.

Sometimes I feel like I go against the flow and "sacrifice" myself just so that I can be an example that not everyone thinks the same. I get into a group and feel like there is some under representation there of something so I have take on that role to represent the underdog. I do this take make sure we are all playing "fairly". Wow I don't know if that made sense.

It also looks like ENFPs place high value on taking personal responsibility. Which IMO is a very good thing.

Besides my core religious values, I would say I highly value unconditional positive regard when it comes to others. Many other personalities seem to have conditions to really like someone, but for the most part I feel ENFPs do a very good job at loving people for who they are unless that person is immoral or very inconsiderate of others. I find their is rarely a person I don't like unless their heart is just plain nasty lol.

Yes!! I am constantly pushing this idea on my pessimistic friends.
I like the phrase, "Happiness is a choice." I truly belief happiness is not pleasure, but a higher sense of worth and the worth of others that comes about by self-love and acceptance. The greeks called it eudaimonia, and I wish more people could understand this and stop their self-defeating habits.

Amen to this my friend! I totally agree with the phrase "Happiness is a choice" I dont understand why people dont understand that concept for their own good.

1, Be different. Be yourself. When you are not, there is no reason for you being here. You bring nothing new to the world. "Two roads diverge in a wood, and I, I take the one less traveled by."

2, Have something bigger than you are and live for it. There are just too many people with themselves as the centre of their little worlds.

3, Listen to your heart, not to the others. And fear nothing, because unlike you heart that whispers, you fear screams loud.
