Is the no pants thing an ENFP thing or just a people thing?

I HATE, HATE, HATE wearing pants. As soon as I am in my apartment after teaching all day, my pants are in the hamper and I walking around in my underwear. I live alone, so this is acceptable. It's preferable. I often find myself daydreaming, while I"m teaching 6th graders, that I'm at home with no pants on. I count down the hours until I can drive home and take my pants off. This doesn't happen when I'm wearing skirts or dresses, or even when I'm wearing yoga/sweat pants.
So my question is are other ENFPs like this, or is this common, or maybe I'm just really fucking weird.

(Seriously though, I don't know how many times I've had friends/family randomly show up or call five minutes away, and tell me they're taking me out to dinner or need something and I have to make them wait so I can put pants on, and they always ask why I hate wearing pants so much).

FLOPPING!? That reminds me of this one time... I looked over and saw five or six of my male friends (this was after Drawers:45, mind you) standing in a circle, seemingly dancing. It was dark and they were far away. As I got closer I realized that... they were all "windmilling", if you will. XD

I felt too shy to write on this thread, but I guess I'll share anyway:
For the past couple of months, I've spent 50% of my time in boxers and a t-shirt, 40% of the time wearing boxers alone, and 10% of the time wearing "too much" (i.e. "regular" clothing).

I should just change my username to "Feral Child". XD

But most of this is due to extenuating circumstances. I actually usually wear more clothing during the warm summer months. :)

This thread reminds me a lot of college.

lol! oh guys, guys. that's the reason why i love you so much ! xD
i could never start this kind of thread .__.
but i hate pants... or at least the pants i'm walking around with all day. as soon as i'm home, they're off.
actually i was already in trouble because of this. one day i just came home and like usually i tossed my jeans into the next corner, i couldn't find my comfortable sweat pants so i was roaming around, searching or them. as i entered the living room i saw my mom sitting on the couch, chatting with some guest. oh, gosh! the three of us just looked at eachother for a minute. no one knew what to say and finally i just closed the door.
and the moral of the story, remember where you put your sweatpants or know how to remedy the situation.

Oh ENFPs you are too much XD

perhaps many of you don't live in cold places.

I like wearing pants, i rarely wear shorts in summer though i like ankle pants. in the colder months I am happy to get home and put on my comfy unflattering sweat pants

Saw this, thought of this thread.

This your sublte way of telling me you want to get naked ENFP's.

2 pages in and i'm already thinking that I somehow missed out on how wonderful it is to wear a dress and somehow pants are the worst thing ever.
I'd probably feel a bit naked if I wore such clothing though. I like my pants :)
If i want to be really comfy I might wear some loose shorts of some trackies. But most of my bottom half articles of clothing are jeans.

Lol... funny enough I pretty much only wear pants, because I look better in them than in a skirt (I'm a touch on the fat side, and dresses/skirts make me feel like a frickin' Sherman tank!). However, I cannot evereverever sleep in pants, either the American or British meaning. So, it's long t-shirts or short nighties if I'm at home with the fam, or nada if alone.

I guess I fall under, 'loves trousers, hates panties.' And only here does this not cause people to shriek and cover their heads chanting 'TMI!!!!' x D

It's not that I don't like pants. It's more that I hate the chafing feeling of jeans. That uncomfortable friction constricting me from moving and sitting in all the weird positions I like to be in is just down right irritating. :tongue:

I've been seriously thinking about this and I realized that I really do hate pants. I wear jeans because they look nice, but the second I get a chance, I throw on leggings because they feel like I'm wearing nothing. This is only because I'd freeze without pants in the winter. In summer, dresses are my attire probably 80% of the time.

Seriously, what is up with that? Why do we hate pants? Is it maybe because they're so restricting? I don't mean that in a perverted way, I mean I like to dance around, sit cross cross applesauce, lay with my legs up on various things, etc. I'm sort of like a kid in that regard when I'm in a comfortable environment...jeans are just so icky. Shamelessly I'll admit that I adore jeggings for the flexibility.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is a common trait of ENFPs. In particular, I remember from the "Art of Speedreading People" book that it seems to have a lot to do with the differences between Judgers and Perceivers.

On the "Quick Recap" page for the J/P common "clues", it says this for the Perceivers:
-Often have "unfinished" look; clothes rumpled, unruly hair, etc
-Dress more for comfort
-Are more casual and unconventional
(among other things...)

And it says this for the Judgers:
-Have a "finished", neat appearance, clothes pressed, hair combed, etc.
-Dress more for appearance
-Are more formal and conventional

It listed some common differences in appearance between I/E and N/S too, but the J/P category seemed to list the biggest differences.

@Enfpleasantly
yeah, that's what i also think when i meet some js too! xD and after being confronted with that i also take some more time for things like this. it can be fun. but i couldn't do it everyday... it just takes so much time ! >.<
@fguewriter
i think everyone can comfort anyone. this is not about Ps and Js right ?
@Blacktide
man, you're so right ! i hate schedules but deadlines are great to work with! :D
and it's great to hear that from a J! i thought this trait is rather negative since it doesn't fit our society. but i'm alright with that as long as some people like it. :)

You are the way you are, and trying to force you to do things our way isn't going to accomplish anything and we Js need to accept that. Instead finding what works best for you and tailoring things to fit what works for YOU is what a good coordinator is all about :kitteh:.

Besides, the ENFPs I have worked with have found some very creative and ingenuitive solutions for doing things better that other people would not have found doing things the "standard way". That is why ENFPs make amazing consultants and marketers.

Well, I live up in the north and it's fucking cold here most part of the year, but even so I usually walk around at home and in our common kitchen (I share kitchen with other students) in long underwear. When it's warm I prefer to wear as little as possible, but when I leave the house I do tend to wear more than just boxer shorts.

I don't think it's based on personality type.

After a certain age, I've stopped having those embarrassing "running around naked dreams" because, I would absolutely LOVE running around naked. I would find it quite liberating, and (if I do say so myself) I have a pretty nice body. So no pants, no shirt, no nothing, I'll be there (just no icky naked old people. Thanks.)
