ENFP As good as it gets.

Hello, to start, I´m very happy being an ENFP, wouldnt be any other type of personality. I honestly believe we are really capable of making people totally happy or miserable.

    However..

There are a few things i don´t like, for example, the itch i feel when i start getting comfortable with something, or i start to have some stability....

They usually start with "I can do totally better than this girl...", "what if i tried another thing.... would i be happier?", "Is there something out there that might make me happier, and i´m stuck here missing out?"...

or, this is as good as it gets?

Should i get used to this? be happy with what i have?

Same with me. Something else is that when we need to take a decision, we think that the option we'll choose will make us happier than now, but it happens that once we took the decision, sometimes it is far worse than we imagined.

It's all about balance. Never tell yourself you *have to* do something...that you're doing it because you want to and can leave at any given time. Feeling like you have to do something makes you want to not do it....or bolt. Living too much on possibilities isn't healthy. If you let that tendency overwhelm you, it just makes you afraid to do anything for the fear of losing options. ><

That´s the point, maybe worse it´s because of the expectation we have that the decition we just made, is going to solve all our problems, and finally we can live happily ever after. But who knows if there is even a happily ever after.

    Thanks on your input.

Haha, I agree with most of what people are saying. The grass does always seem to be greener on the other side. That idiom was meant for us.

I try to keep that in mind so I don't always jump to new possibilities but it's hard. I just get bored of what I have and feel an urge to change my reality.

haha yes this is completely me. the grass IS always greener, although in my life i reckon when i've thought it it's often true. my old friends were better, college would be so much better than sixth form, this girl isn't all she was cracked up to be when i first met her, etc.

it puts me at a huge advantage when it comes to new experiences n that cos whilst everyone else is wary of change, i look forward to it. the only way way i can be totally happy is by managing different social groups and different "lives" really. i just need to be free to do and experience whatever the feck i feel like. goddamit i want it all!

You know, this has happened to me, and i never thought of it as a good idea.At times I get so obsessed with acomplishing "something", and once i have it... didnt wanted it really, just wanted to be sure i could have it; too bad that "something" are more often girls and they are the ones ending up hurt, and that just sucks.

But I´ll try to keep in mindo that i dont HAVE TO... im there and live what i have, not live on the posibilities.

The forum admin on the enfp forum website suggests having 3 different tasks/hobbies at the same time....that you switch between to keep your interest. He also suggests attending charity events.
